Publisher's Summary

Dylan Locke knows that pining over the young ingenue Audrey Lind is pointless. He can’t offer her what she wants. He definitely can’t give her what she needs. Thank goodness she’s half a world away and he doesn’t have to deal with his attraction head-on.

But fate has other plans for him, and when Audrey once again lands in his path, it’s only too easy to fall back into their easy rhythm. And then their easy banter. And of course, each other’s arms.

He tells himself nothing has changed. She still wants forever, and he still thinks tomorrow is long enough. But watching her search isn’t as easy as he thought it would be, and now, Dylan must figure out if he’s really the love Scrooge he professes to be or if he’s been fate’s willing victim all along.

*Includes Sweet Liar, audiobook one in the Dirty Sweet duet.

Great Love story

This audiobook contains the first novella (Book 1) as well as Book 2.
While both Shane East and Carly Robins equally narrate the first book, Shane East narrates the second book (just over 7hours). Carly Robins narrates the epilogue. They both do an outstanding job.

Not feeling it

This is the duet in the Dirty Sweet series. Dylan Locke a 39 year old ad exec has been lusting over 20 year old Audrey Lind. Emotionally scared by his previous marriage he leaves New York to go home to England and escape his lust for her.

But fate has other plans for him, when Audrey shows up in England for a job at the museum and the laws of attraction kick in once again. No matter how hard Dylan attempts to keep his distance from the young girl he can't help but pine after her.

I found this story difficult to accept. I understand Dylan's character not wanting to get involved after a horrendous divorce, but falling for Audrey a young girl nearly 20 years younger wanting to have 5 children and all her other idealistic head in the clouds didn't seem believable to me. Other than their carnal lust for one another, they really don't have a lot in common.

Shane East and Carly Robins narrate this story with ease. I can visualize Dylan a seasoned British business man in his forties worrying about children in his 80's while Carly provides the unrealistic sheltered Audrey a voice that screams naive.

Shane East’s voice is delicious!

I picked this book because of the male narrator and the author, both of whom I’ve enjoyed in previous audiobooks. Dylan’s refusal to give love a chance with a younger woman he’s head over heals for gets a bit tiring towards the end - it dragged on longer than needed, but the HEA is so worth waiting for. Very sexy and hot love scenes are so much better read by a male voice.

These two books have steam
Some role play of Daddy/Daughter sex scene
But these books are so amazing and so worth it and the narrators are also good at their narrating. The storyline is also good....keeps you wanting more and more....there is two books in this one...you get book one and two in this one!!!

Silly ...

The overall premise was just silly. The male narrator, Shane East, was PERFECT as Dylan but his female voices were dreadful.

Don’t waste your time or money. Not sexy, not hot, just lots of stupid nothing. I’m very disappointed in Laurelin Paige. I usually love her books.

A Dirty Sweet Finale to Dylan and Audrey's Duet!

I really have loved this duo, but most of book two takes place in England as Audrey starts work at the National Gallery. Audrey is still cannot get Dylan out of mind.
So before long Audrey and Dylan play at being friends, unfortunately the sexual tension between is so hot it doesn’t take long before its friends with benefits.
I loved Audrey she was so confident, and knew she wanted and loved Dylan.
Unfortunately Dylan keeps putting walls between them.
I am so excited that the Audiobook is released before the book, so I couldn’t resist buying it. I have to say the pleasure of listening to Shane East as Dylan is the icing on the cake.

I came close to quitting this book

I'll start by saying I have 17 audiobooks by Laurelin Paige and have genuinely loved all of them but with 2 hours left to go on this book I very nearly gave up and at times it had me shouting out in sheer frustration.

I'm all for the 'will they won't they' storyline that comes with romance fiction but in this book Laurelin over played her hand. The period that was set in London was far too long with Dylan and his never ending procrastination, it was so incredibly frustrating bordering on annoyance. *SPOILER ALERT*

I listen to erotic romance books, I'm a hopeless romantic, which is the only reason I stuck with it whenq at the 8 hour mark I came close to quitting it. I want the characters to get together and see what comes of them as couple. You have to wait exactly 10 hours before that happens, theres plenty of sex before that point but it is 10 hours before they become a couple and then the books over with a hastily set prologue less around 45 mins later which left me feeling unsatisfied.
I listened to the last 5 hours all in one go, whether I'd felt so frustrated in smaller chunks I don't know but frustrating is what sums up this book and I'm really sorry about that as I do love this author.

Wow

Just loved this ending. Loved how she kept at Dylan hoping he would break free from his self imposed cage. His love for her was so real and he was finally ready to feel it and show it. Though it was funny that it was words from his ex that finally cleared his mind.
Narration was awesome too.

Love!

Two things I am crazy for: a British man and Shane East's narration. This book gave me both. Shane East's portrayal of Dylan was divine, sexy in all the right places.

I loved the character of Dylan - very manly and dominant but also a little self conscious about his age. His love interest Audrey was sweet and a little dirty. She played with Dylan but also loved him fiercely.

The book was well written, Laurelin Paige has done it again.

Love love love this book!

I have listened to this book over 30 times. I’m addicted. I absolutely love it! Dylan...swoon! Couldn’t have had two better narrators. They were perfect. I love Laurelin Paige’s books but this has become my standout favourite!
