Publisher's Summary

Dylan Locke knows that pining over the young ingenue Audrey Lind is pointless. He can’t offer her what she wants. He definitely can’t give her what she needs. Thank goodness she’s half a world away and he doesn’t have to deal with his attraction head-on.

But fate has other plans for him, and when Audrey once again lands in his path, it’s only too easy to fall back into their easy rhythm. And then their easy banter. And of course, each other’s arms.

He tells himself nothing has changed. She still wants forever, and he still thinks tomorrow is long enough. But watching her search isn’t as easy as he thought it would be, and now, Dylan must figure out if he’s really the love Scrooge he professes to be or if he’s been fate’s willing victim all along.

*Includes Sweet Liar, audiobook one in the Dirty Sweet duet.

Great Love story

This audiobook contains the first novella (Book 1) as well as Book 2.
While both Shane East and Carly Robins equally narrate the first book, Shane East narrates the second book (just over 7hours). Carly Robins narrates the epilogue. They both do an outstanding job.

Not feeling it

This is the duet in the Dirty Sweet series. Dylan Locke a 39 year old ad exec has been lusting over 20 year old Audrey Lind. Emotionally scared by his previous marriage he leaves New York to go home to England and escape his lust for her.

But fate has other plans for him, when Audrey shows up in England for a job at the museum and the laws of attraction kick in once again. No matter how hard Dylan attempts to keep his distance from the young girl he can't help but pine after her.

I found this story difficult to accept. I understand Dylan's character not wanting to get involved after a horrendous divorce, but falling for Audrey a young girl nearly 20 years younger wanting to have 5 children and all her other idealistic head in the clouds didn't seem believable to me. Other than their carnal lust for one another, they really don't have a lot in common.

Shane East and Carly Robins narrate this story with ease. I can visualize Dylan a seasoned British business man in his forties worrying about children in his 80's while Carly provides the unrealistic sheltered Audrey a voice that screams naive.

Dylan + Aubrey <3

This story was so beautiful! It was funny and angsty and hot. I love the older man-younger woman trope and how perfect they are together. He is so sweet and kind, yet scared of love and hurting, scared of her. She is so full of life, happy and kind. I love how the story was presented and his accent was sooo hot! (Swoon). Loved this book, as happens since the first time I read a book by Laurelin Paige.

love, love. love

I loved this 2nd book. After all of the fooling around, the ending was beautiful and sweet. T British accent is to die for, and the voice tone. Hot.

This was a miss for me.....

The narration was very good, although, I would have like dual POV in the second part of the book to listen to more Carly Robins.

I had a difficult time liking Dylan. He is a male version of a "Debbie Downer" with his constant complaining and insecurities that dragged me right into boredom.

Enchanting Love Story - Truly Kismet

Both Shane East and Carly Robins do an outstanding job narrating this book. I listened/read Sweet Liar and Sweet Fate on a whim without having read the previous books - NO PROBLEM. I was immediately captivated by Dylan's struggles and Audrey's sassy, romantic nature.....I must warn you though, Dylan will wear you out!

Their attraction is immediate and their interactions sizzle. Dylan is definitely a brooding, sexy, love scrooge but eventually Audrey, with her tenacity and charm, comes to Dylan's rescue.

The characters are well developed and I was so enamored that I fell in love with their story and these characters. I did not want it to end. Truly Kismet.

I highly recommend Sweet Liar and Sweet Fate. A great read and even better listen. And since I am behind on this series, I have started the Sweet Filthy series and looking forward to more sizzling romance.

Well done Laurelin Paige...…5 Stars+

I came close to quitting this book

I'll start by saying I have 17 audiobooks by Laurelin Paige and have genuinely loved all of them but with 2 hours left to go on this book I very nearly gave up and at times it had me shouting out in sheer frustration.

I'm all for the 'will they won't they' storyline that comes with romance fiction but in this book Laurelin over played her hand. The period that was set in London was far too long with Dylan and his never ending procrastination, it was so incredibly frustrating bordering on annoyance. *SPOILER ALERT*

I listen to erotic romance books, I'm a hopeless romantic, which is the only reason I stuck with it whenq at the 8 hour mark I came close to quitting it. I want the characters to get together and see what comes of them as couple. You have to wait exactly 10 hours before that happens, theres plenty of sex before that point but it is 10 hours before they become a couple and then the books over with a hastily set prologue less around 45 mins later which left me feeling unsatisfied.
I listened to the last 5 hours all in one go, whether I'd felt so frustrated in smaller chunks I don't know but frustrating is what sums up this book and I'm really sorry about that as I do love this author.

A Dirty Sweet Finale to Dylan and Audrey's Duet!

I really have loved this duo, but most of book two takes place in England as Audrey starts work at the National Gallery. Audrey is still cannot get Dylan out of mind.
So before long Audrey and Dylan play at being friends, unfortunately the sexual tension between is so hot it doesn’t take long before its friends with benefits.
I loved Audrey she was so confident, and knew she wanted and loved Dylan.
Unfortunately Dylan keeps putting walls between them.
I am so excited that the Audiobook is released before the book, so I couldn’t resist buying it. I have to say the pleasure of listening to Shane East as Dylan is the icing on the cake.

Love!

Two things I am crazy for: a British man and Shane East's narration. This book gave me both. Shane East's portrayal of Dylan was divine, sexy in all the right places.

I loved the character of Dylan - very manly and dominant but also a little self conscious about his age. His love interest Audrey was sweet and a little dirty. She played with Dylan but also loved him fiercely.

The book was well written, Laurelin Paige has done it again.

So good!

I was excited when this duet was released on audio the day I was leaving for Bali. Thought I’d have a quick listen before leaving it to listen to on the plane. I couldn’t stop and had finished the first book before I even got to the airport. It was just so good! Dylan Locke is a smoking hot, wealthy British businessman but a commitmentphobe. Great narrators! Loved Shane East’s gorgeous British accent. Young Audrey is a beautiful and smart American and sets her sights on Dylan when he is in America on business. The attraction is strong but that’s it as far as Dylan is concerned but Audrey is a dreamer who believes in kismet. Loved this duet!
