Publisher's Summary

Wrongly imprisoned whistle-blower Rachel Pierce would rather take her chances with her court appeal than accept her place as the first Interstellar Bride destined for the Colony. She’s stubborn and determined to seek justice - and her freedom - on Earth...but her mates are not willing to risk her life or her future on a system they believe to be both primitive and corrupt.

Maxim of Prillon Prime fought 10 long years in the Hive wars. Captured and tortured with his second, Ryston, they escaped only to be rejected by their own people and condemned to life on the Colony with the other “contaminated” cyborg warriors. As leader of Sector 3, it’s Maxim’s duty to set an example for his warriors and summon a bride. When she refuses transport, he can’t allow her rejection to demoralize an entire planet of battle hardened but jaded warriors. Maxim and Ryston transport to Earth, where they decide she’s theirs, and a maximum security human prison will not keep them apart.

Getting Rachel to the Colony is only the first challenge they will face. Convincing their beautiful mate to surrender to not one but two dominant warriors is another. Even if they can win her love, a new evil is rising on the Colony, and someone close to Maxim will be its first victim. Maxim will be its second, unless Rachel’s love and relentless pursuit of the truth prove strong enough to save him.

Liked it

The narrators did a great job bringing each character to life. The story was interesting and had a plot. Writing this type of story takes great imagination. Will seek out more books written by this author.

Surrender to the Cyborgs

This was a very good start to The Colony Series. The book is about Rachel, who was wrongly imprisoned on earth and her two mates, Maxim and Ryston. Maxim and Ryston were great with Rachel. It took her a while to agree to be claimed and I would not like to be claimed in front of an audience. Ms. Goodwin has a great imagination in writing these stories. There is a terrible villain but it takes them a while to figure out who it is. Heather Firth, Jakobi Diem and Stephen Dexter did a great job with the narration.

eh.

I thought the narrator was amazing, but I felt the story lacked. I get that I'm listening to a spicy book and I expect there to be spice, but I felt like there lacked a purpose. I wanted to hear more about her stuff that got her locked up. There was an antagonist missing, you knew of an antagonist, but never got to meet them. They were a ghost of an antagonist. Spicy scenes were very well written, but everything else just left me wanting more.

Southern accent?

One of the male narrators had a southern accent. While charming, it kept making me chuckle and get distracted. I mean really, an alien with a southern drawl?!?

Surprised author could fit ALL of that in there!

Felt like it was written by both a man and woman. Balanced. Both views. Enjoyed.

visit the colony planet of outcast

The new queen. Newly named vets. An outcast colony of those no longer wanted on their home planets. They have been outcasted because of things done to them during a war they did not ask for. On this new planet they should be safe, secure, and live in peace. Someone wants to reawaken the disturbing parts of the colony residents. It take the newly installed interstellar bride to find out what is going on with the males of the colony.

Maxim, Ryston, and Rachel find the connection between them is strong even before the collar gets on Rachel's neck. They are to form the perfect bond. The perfect connection of desire, needs, wants, a family unit. She will be the glue between them. She will be the one with the power. The one that will make sure they are there for each other through it all. She needs to take the ultimate step forward. Her surrender is the last step they need to bond as a single unit.

The narration trio was good. There were areas that a female needed to sound like a female. Or the two males did not sound so much alike in tone and pitch.

I enjoy my visits to the Interstellar Bride Program. I would love to see the warden find happiness once again.

A New Genre For Me

I was not expecting to enjoy this type of story and this was a new type of genre for me to partake in. I liked the narrators and thought the storyline was great. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Rachel and her mates. I thought the story was well thought out and while this is a large series and universe, they are mostly stand-alone books which is great for first time readers. I would definitely be interested in reading/hearing more of Grace Goodwin.

Incel Spankbank Material

Dominant alien warrior "males" deserve their fated "females".
And of course their "female" has no choice but to submit. Yeah. No.

Holy hotness!

tight from the first words this book has the spice factor cranked right up their. These Cyborgs sure know their was around a womans body, plus they're attentive, loving, possessive and protective, who wouldn't want on but two, that's whole lot of Cyborg to deal with.
the narration was great and I really enjoyed the book, I'm sure I'll be listening to more.

just what I expected

opening credits... sex scene in full force..
then the characters opening story.. this one is a female scientist used as a scape goat by a big pharma company... convinced and sent to the Bride program by her Lawyer.
refuses match so the nearly perfect match's have to go break her out of jail..
then low and behold she gets to save them and have a whole lot of sex as well!!!
Exactly what you would expect if you read Grace Goodwin books
And the narration was quite good as well.

Another in this series. Although different, they follow a similar story line. Earth brides computer matched to 2 alien mates., a little drama, and a happy ending.

Male narrators were so slow!

Probably would of been better if I'd read it hut I listened to the audio book and it was so boring. If there were two male narrators like the listing said I couldn't tell them apart and they were so slow. I turned the speed up. Honestly couldn't tell you who the bad guy was. I don't even think he was introduced or did anything in the book untill he was named the bad guy. Not a great book. Spice screens were pretty boring too I ended up skipping most of it. So much blah blah blah blah.

Excellent

Rachel Pierce is a wrongly convicted felon, a whistle-blower who was framed but still naive enough to believe in the justice system. She undergoes testing in the Interstellar Brides Program but chooses to stay safely in solitary to fight her case but when her life is threatened her mates Maxim and Ryston former Prillon warriors now on the Colony take matters into their own hands. Rachel soon finds that the love and devotion of two mates is not to be ignored and there is a battle brewing on the Colony that she has the skills to uncover and the battle begins. A very worthy introduction to the series, highly entertaining and I highly recommend it.
