Publisher's Summary

One night of complete surrender is all it takes.

Gareth Harris is Manchester United's reclusive star defender. He has control over all aspects of his life. But a lifetime of supporting his siblings and filling in for an emotionally absent father has taken its toll.

Sloan Montgomery is a clothing stylist whose world was turned upside down when she found herself pregnant and moving to Manchester with a man who was never supposed to be her forever. Now recently divorced and struggling with shared custody of her daughter, control is a fleeting concept for this American living in England.

Both Gareth and Sloan are in need of a release. A moment in time where they can forget about their pasts and family pressures...and just...surrender. No one could predict what happens when both of their defences are down.

Surrender is part one of the Final Harris Brother Duet and concludes with Dominate. This duet is a great listen on its own, but to maximize enjoyment, check out the first three brothers books in Challenge, Endurance, and Keeper.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

So I waited until book 5 was sent to Audible before starting this series and tonight when I finished this book, Audible still hasn't put it up on the website and now I'm going CRAZY!!!! I Need the next book YESTERDAY! OMG this book has a huge cliffy!!

I wasn't sure when this one started if I was going to love it cause i'm not a fan of one of the main aspects of Gareth & Sloan's relationship but let me tell you, Amy Daws wrote it in the best way I've ever read and I ended up loving everything about it. Gareth is a loaner, kinda quiet and has some childhood issues he really needs to get over. Sloan's life is falling apart around her and she needs to be in control of it again. Together these two figure out what each other needs the most and it works for them. The sex scenes in this book are crazy hot which surprised me very much with my normal opinion of this type of relationship. I fell in love with these two very quickly! Again like in all the other book in this series, there are a lot of family moments and I love that all the previous characters continue to have big roles in each book! Now I'm stuck waiting.... and waiting and I might die if Dominate isn't available today!! Seriously I NEED IT NOW!!!!!

The narration was great, I was surprised when I saw a new female narrator until I realized that Sloan is American, then it made perfect sense and Piper Goodeve was an excellent choice!!!

Wow!

Amazing listen! Full of passion, humor, and drama. I loved Sloan and Gareth’s story. The next part needs to hurry up and get here! Amazing narrators too, they brought the story to vivid life through the duet style of narration, different voices for each character, and so much emotion. An overall amazing listen that I highly recommend. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

fave book in the series!

so I loved this series so much I read it first then got the audio book once I realized there was one. Gareth has always been my favorite character. hes so mysterious and protective. I loved his story so much because you got to learn so much about the Harris parents....particularly Papa Harris. its gut wrenching listening to Gareth recount his final memories of his mother! this book gave me all the feels! the narrators were amazing! I also loved this way of dual narration....having the Male always voice the Male and female for female. hopefully this become the new norm!

Crazy

Wow this book is quite the departure from the others in the series. Gareth and Sloane are just wild. Great performance by all three narrators.

Another 5 Star

Finally Gareth Harris has his book, but be warned his story takes two books to tell. This book can be read without reading the prior books in the Harris Brother’s series but this reader recommends reading the earlier books to fully understand the underlying connections this family has. This is a difficult review to write as I don’t want to give away any spoilers - that said. Gareth is not at all what I was expecting as we really get to know him and we finally get to meet the mystery clothing stylist from an earlier book and she was a wonderful surprise. I enjoyed how Piper Goodeve was able to really bring her character to life in the narration. I already am a major fan of Will Watt and he once again kicked his narration of Gareth into the net. It was a wonderful surprise having Charlotte Cole narrating the other English female characters. You could really picture the story taking place with these three very talented narrators telling us this awesome story. Now make sure you have the next book ready as you will so need to jump right in with not time to waste. It is just that good a story.

My Love For The Harris Brothers Is Starting To...

Creep Me Out.....

Who am I kidding no it's not!
Here I thought Booker had earned the top spot, Gareth is, well he has bowled me over with everything he is and wants to be!
When he said to Salon " How can I fix this? " " I fix things, tell me what you need." - I was a goner! ( I freaking swooned typing that for the love of all things.. I need some serious help. Damn You, Amy Daws! )*SIGH*
** Throws hands up in the air **
I give up I heart every one of them equally!

Surrender is everything and anything I have been looking for in a storyline! I LOVED the power exchange while still keeping their dignity and a magnificent, albeit maddening plot to go along with it! Secrets, lies, Harris brand of humor (the very best kind) and a beautifully broken pair putting themselves out there to feel like something or nothing at all for a little while. The pair are an intense heady and electrifying couple!
With so much going on, it's hard not to be wrapped up in their chaotic, dramatic and delicious worlds; I was so frustrated with Solan!!
Adding to my growing frustration, just when I think things are on the mend, I am jolted me out of my Harris haze by a suspenseful ending that has me scrolling right over to purchasing the next audio!
What a spectacular book!

Powerful

I screwed up and read this one second so it was more of a clarity book than a surprise book with the details BUT that didn’t stop me from enjoying the book any less.

The narrator team was amazing.

There was a scene between a young Gareth and his mom that Narrator Will Watt NAILED! It was so powerful and so REAL!!

This is not your typical boy meets girl, boy and girl fall in love book. (Like any of Amy’s stories).

But the way they fall is beautiful and fun.

I can’t say enough good things about this story.

Completely unputdownable!! A total winner!

This duet has completely won my heart and taken my emotions to new heights. Just when you think the previous books were really great stories with outstanding narration, in comes the last brother's story and completely takes it's place as #1. The story line is so well done and extremely engaging, the chemistry and set up of how these characters meet and their relationship develops is nothing short of genius and the narration is on another level of perfection. I will not give out any spoilers, but will say that, to me, this is the sexiest and most yummy of all the books in the series. Amy Daws delivered!! One of the best duets for me this year!

I Want More of Sloan & Gareth!

This was my first Harris Brothers book, and to be honest, I wasn't prepared for how gripping it was going to be! I'm still trying to calm my poor heart! Sloan and Gareth's story starts as friends and develops in such a timely manner, you really get to know them, understand them, and root for them! , Amy Daws has done her due diligence when it comes to the world of English football, and can be writing about any of the top footie players! The plot is well thought out, intriguing and HOT AF! seriously, I don't think there's a rating on the Scoville scale high enough! so you have been warned! I loved the duet narration, making it so much easier to follow, and a bit like a film more than a book! If you are a lover of The Archer's format, this is for you! There are a few dodgy accents in there, but not enough to put me off! Will Watt's voice is lovely, rich and his differentiation makes is easy to follow each character, as is Piper Goodeve! Her voice has a nice tone, making it a joy to hear! No Micky Mouse squeakers here! This book has left me wanting, no NEEDING more of the Harris brothers! I'm new to Amy's work, but I can hand on heart say, I'm now a fan! The book has heart, humour and a love story unlike any other! 5* all the way, now can't wait for the second part!

Brilliant!!

As always I absolutely love the audio versions of this series, again the narrators where perfect, the voices well suited to the characters. This book was no different and held my attention right until the end. It was full of emotion and had me fanning myself at times. Gareth Harris has stolen my heart as I knew he would and Sloan is so right for him. I can't wait to hear the next book .

wow amazing audio!

I loved this story Gareth's book was definitely worth the wait, and Will does a another fantastic job as the Voice of the eldest Harris brother. This story had all the feels it was an emotional rollercoaster, Gareth is the most serious brother being the eldest and this story reflects that and WHAT a cliff hanger!

Amy has done her research for this series and it shows in the story all the facts are spot on.

I love that this is a duet it really adds to the authenticity of the story, with the chapters being from both Sloane and Gareth

Packed with emotion as well as laughs!

I didn’t think that this series could get any better, but this duet was simply fantastic! Packed with emotion as well as laughs I honestly believe this is Amy Daws at her very best. I thoroughly enjoyed the dual narration. Easy 5 stars.

OMG... What a roller coaster of feelings !!!

I loved Gareth since book one and now finally I get to have his story and what a story it is and don't get me started on the clifhanger that has me wanting a lot more. This is an amazing story that made me laugh and brought me to tears with all the raw emotion from the characters.
This book is beautifully narrated and the interchange between both narrators is amazing, they take you right in to this amazing world ( and I'm not even a football fan 🙈).
Can hardly wait for the next one 😍

Once i got into the book it wasnt an issue. Narrators did a really good job! I felt for both characters at times, they havent had it easy. The cliffhanger at the end.. jeeeezzzz didnt see it coming!

Fantastic audio,

This is the first Amy Daws book I’ve just had the pleasure of enjoying.
I’ve just listened to this on audio and it was fabulous I’ve not read the others in the series but I will be going to click these to catch up with the rest of the family.

I swooned laughed & I have to say listening to Gareth struggling with events from he was a little boy floored me, listening to it made it feel so much more real (and Will on the audio for Gareth was brilliant)

Sloan and Gareth’s relationship is complicated what they want and what they need is suppose to separated, friends with benefits but when the lines start to blur and things become clearer, on one side....
it’s time to put the ⚽️ in the other half!

What is more important holding the power and keeping everything in or putting your heart on the line and surrendering?

Just clicked the audio for book 1,
Amy Daws you have a new fan xx

Amazing

I loved this audiobook not only is it duet but even in the female chapter it’s the male narrator that speaks the male parts and the other way round which I love. The mix of British and American accents of both the narrators. This is my first Amy Daws book and I will definitely be reading more of her books, it had me crying with laughter in parts and heart wrenching crying. What a cliffhanger A must read.

Couldn't have been more perfect!

Amy Daws and her beautiful and emotional writing, the Harris brothers, those handsome, sexy footballers that have turned my head from the very start, and probably my favorite narrator out there with the most delicious British accent, Will M. Watt: What an explosive, magnificent mix! This was perfection from the first second to the last. Just… OMG! Oh, and did I mention that it’s duet narration? Seriously, this one has all the goodies I could ever wish for, as has the rest of this series. But SURRENDER has two, well, three things, the previous ones didn’t have: For one, it has the wonderfully talented Piper Goodeve lending her voice to Sloan, our American heroine, but it has also special appearances by the amazing Charlotte Fouche, who portrays the British female characters, as previously (did I mention I absolutely love this one??), and last but not least, it has a freaking cliffhanger!! Yep, you read that right, Gareth’s, the oldest Harris brother’s story, is not a standalone but a duet! Gaahh!! I’m elated and frustrated… all at once. Frustrated, because I didn’t expect it (nope, I didn’t read the synopsis, I never do with books by my favorite authors), elated, because I’m not yet ready to see the Harris brothers go…

Sooo… Gareth. Gareth has been somewhat elusive throughout his brothers’ stories. There’s not really much you know about him. At all. Well, apart from the fact that he isn’t collecting his fair share of notches in the bedpost like his teammates do – like you expect from a successful bachelor athlete like him – and that, different from his brothers, he is playing for Manchester. An enigma, but now it’s finally his time to shine!

And boy, there’s so much to this man that we couldn’t have dreamed of if we tried. It’s beautiful, it ugly, it’s different, and it’s definitely heartbreaking. Gareth surprised me, more than once (as did that freaking ending! But I digress…), and in Sloan he has found his perfect match.

Reaching the end of this book, there was still so much left unsaid, so many questions not answered, that the feeling in my stomach grew that this wouldn’t be the end to their tale. And then came the sledgehammer. And then it DID end! I mean, really??? Yeah, I still have one or the other bone to pick with Gareth Harris… keeping secrets like that…

DOMINATE cannot come soon enough!!

Surrender

Another great addition to the Harris Brothers series, may not be my favourite but I enjoyed it very much.
Excellent narrative by all voice artist, really, really enjoyable to listen.
