Wishing for more from this book

I was disappointed with this book. The story line was all over the place.

the story line is fine but it reads like a bad soap opera or horrible b movie.

Surrender

Would of preferred Sebastian York had read it. This reader's voice was distracting and over played. But the story was captivating

Dumbest Book in the Series

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

What could Helen Hardt have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

A complete story. Instead of completing a storyline, this author is breaking the story of the brothers into installments of three books each There's lots of duplication of lines -- probably to complete the word quota for publication. Further, the three books of Jonah's story should have been edited into a single book -- as should have Talon's story.
The series is getting really stupid.

What didn’t you like about the narrators’s performance?

The women's voices performed by Alexander Cendese

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Surrender?

The three books telling Jonah's story should have been condensed into one.

Any additional comments?

I suggest reading the series by J. Bengtsson -- she's a first time author who writes well, and has a good editor -- and her stories are far more believable.
Everyone in the book trade should be ashamed of letting authors string a story out into multiple books leaving multiple cliff hangers. This leads me to believe that there is only greed at the root of this series - for the author, publishers, and book sellers.

Narration ruined it

The narration was rehearsed and didn't fit the characters. The males voice was fine except for when spoke for the female character.

surrender

If you could sum up Surrender in three words, what would they be?

suspense, amazing, love

What was one of the most memorable moments of Surrender?

when talon visits larry in prison

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

the emotions

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

both

Any additional comments?

just cause you can...

.... doesn't mean you should. I originally liked the stories but it feels like it's dragging on too much. At some point too many twists and turns are just too much. Started feeling like a soap opera. I got to the point where I really didn't care who did it. I will still read this author's book. but was not very happy with the storyline.

Disappointed

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the Steele Series books 1, 2 and 3 - the storyline and narrators were awesome. I truly thought someone else wrote books 4, 5 and 6. The storyline was all over the place and made no sense at times. Some scenes you had to shake your head and say, "what was she thinking!" The narrators, unfortunately, were not for this type of story. It was brutal to get through book 6.

I am still trying to understand why there are 7 books to this series. It could have been done in 5. I was hoping that books 4, 5 and 6 would live up to my expectations as books 1 to 3 did but I was terribly mistaken. I was so disappointed that I had to take the time to write this review. This is my first review after listening to over 450 books.

Worst book of the series

Joe is nice and loving and then he's given a inch and he takes it way to far, way to fast. There was no easing anyone into anything. This was just annoying. If it wasn't for the rest of the things going on with the family I couldn't have finished the book and I love these books. I caught myself turning pages just to skip Joe's annoying demands.

Good twist

By the time I’d finished this book I’d finally got used to the narrators, that being said I’m glad to be moving onto book 7 and new narrators that are hopefully less annoying.

The sexual relationship has matured and Melanie surrenders to Jo’s dominant side in the bedroom, I found that their constant changing sexual relationship meant that the scenes didn’t feel repetitive as each time there was something new.

There was a few twists with the investigation in this book that I didn’t see coming and a few things that I thought would happen that never did (or at least hasn’t yet). Everything is slowly starting to come together now, I’m looking forward to finding out the truth as I move into Ryan’s story

Excellent story!

I've read 7books in a row and am really enjoying the whole "who done what" in it. The sex scenes really got my heart rate going!
