Publisher's Summary
Fun in the sun awaits you in this sexy rom-com novella by USA Today best-selling author Mia Sosa....
No-nonsense executive Naomi Reyes can't believe she let her boss manipulate her into babysitting Donovan Taylor, the most insufferable creative director of all time. Worse, she'll be trapped on a private island with him, while a bevy of gorgeous models vie for a coveted chance to grace the cover of M-Class Magazine's inaugural Swimsuit Edition - and, if the office rumors are true, an equally coveted place in Donovan's bed. Still, if she survives the trip with no major mishaps, she'll earn a shot at landing a dream job as an M-Class writer. Easy peasy, right?
Wrong.
Donovan Taylor detests people who try to undermine his artistic control, and his boss's latest machinations send Donovan to a very devious place. Sure, Ms. Reyes will get her precious photo shoot, but it won't be what she expects. Bonus? Ruffling the feathers of the humorless exec who's never liked Donovan will be satisfying, too - assuming she doesn't drown him in the ocean first.
Let the beach games begin....

She’s the salt to his margarita
Frothy enemies to lovers novella with Sosa’s trademark humor and multicultural flavor. Profanity is more like the “Mr. Snafu-lufagus” variety and the nooky (just before the two hour mark) isn’t smut but will put sand in your cracks, so this isn’t for lovers of clean Hallmark romance. I respect Sosa’s injection of woke themes and characters, although sometimes it’s a bit heavy handed. Ms. Ortiz’ narration, especially for Naomi’s Latin sass, is outstanding. Mr. Crisden’s narration was great too, although with only two chapters from Donovan’s perspective, he seemed under utilized. Take advantage of this Audible freebie to sample Sosa’s style. If you enjoyed this, then I highly recommend her full length Worst Best Man, featuring another salsa-rific Latina and her larger than life Brazilian family.

I wish it was longer!
Mia Sosa always does a fantastic job of writing characters with great chemistry, and Naomi and Donovan are no exception. My only gripe? I wish this wasn’t a novella because I need more of them.

More please!!
More from this author please!!!
I enjoyed the storyline as well as the discussion of inclusivity (& the need for it) woven in so naturally that I don’t encounter many authors willing to even touch on.
The main characters were engaging & dimensional in a way I did not expect in a shorter book.
The narrators were perfect & enhanced the book in a way that only truly talented narrators do.

I'd Watch This Movie
Liked this cute, modern love story! It had just enough spice. Salacious details did not overwhelm the plot. I appreciate the centering of Black and Brown characters in a story that is light and fun rather than violent and tragic.

Easy listen
Just light and entertaining. No super thick plot twists, so perfect when listening during chores that require some level of attention.

Entertainingly predictable
I loved the readers and the humorous back and forth they shared that lead to the ending we all know is coming but with a refreshingly pleasant twist that is not expected.

Fun but fast
I thought this story was fun but fast real but skipped a few emotions. I just felt it had at least 2 to 4 more chapters to earn the right to some of the backstory as well as some of the next steps but all in all it was fun it was a little intense at the end and the performers were really good
