Inspiring

The story was so good, I felt I was there in that time when segregation was alive and well. Judgement by the church folk was the law of the community. Good for Bubbles and her strength

Wanted more

A story of resilience, love, determination and courage. Loved it. Wanted more of the story, but truthfully, I know the future of Bubbles, joy and her family. Love and family wins in this story.

I LOVE SADEQA JOHNSON!! She is an AMAZING STORY TELLER ! This is the second book I’ve listen to!

Short story greatly written

Bubbles was a catalyst for change and stood up for herself. People are often so high and mighty that they must be humbled. Lastly, everyone isn’t your friend

I loved it

I wished it was longer. Very very good. I loved it. These poor girls went through so much.

Fallen Grace is a quick read but a good read. Everyone at some point in life, falls from grace, disappoints someone, let's someone down. Sometimes we make decisions based on the opinions or judgements of others and instead of getting up from falling, allow those thoughts to hold you down and push you toward making other decisions based on the situation. A single mother, Bubbles Jones, in segregated Virginia pushes back on societal prejudice and her own family’s judgment in an emotionally powerful story. Bubbles experiences parental judgement, being ostracized & disillusioned, unexpected friendship and betrayal.

This was a great short sequel to The House of Eve. To hear Bubbles story and see where it took her was the closure I didn’t know I needed.
