Publisher's Summary

Kyle Blake likes plans. So far, they're pretty simple: Finish her senior year of high school, head off to a good college, find a cute boyfriend, graduate, get a good job, get married, the whole heterosexual shebang. Nothing is going to stand in the way of that plan. Not even Stella Lewis.

Stella Lewis also has a plan: Finish her senior year as cheer captain, go to college, finally let herself flirt with (and maybe even date) a girl for the first time and go from there.

Fate has other plans for Kyle and Stella when they're paired up in their AP English class and something between them ignites. It's confusing and overwhelming and neither of them know what to do about it. One thing they do know is that their connection can't be ignored. The timing just isn't right. But is there ever a good time for falling in love?

Super cute.

With great characters, really enjoyed it. Sophie Daniels did an excellent job at narration as well. Will definitely be picking up more books from this author/narrator/series.

So sweet!

I simply could not stop listening to this! Brought me back to simpler times! Such a sweet high school romance with everything being a teen and finding your first love. Great narration, will definitely be revisiting this!

Enjoyable fluffy coming out story

This is a coming out story free of drama, which makes the all fluff vibe very enjoyable. Few coming out stories are like this. But every story should be a happy deal. It is nice to forget about reality for a bit and just appreciate the joy of understanding, acceptance, as well as supportive friends and family.

I found very clever the way their names mix to title the book. I really liked it.

The narration in general was good, only sometimes the voices are similar and gets confusing. But it’s easy to get over that.

Overall is it very enjoyable and is good to listen a conflict free coming out story.

You’d be better off reading a bad unpaid wattpad

The plot was entirely just surrounding the love story, there was nothing else really going on or motivating the characters. The characters themselves changed their tune and their entire personalities every 5 minutes to try and make them fit the pacing of the romance instead of the other way around. There was no emotional build up and the spicy scenes didn’t really flow well and had little to no accuracy at times. It’s a bad love at first sight wattpad, trying to be a love Simon coming of age type deal, and failing. I hope this writer continues to try and improve their style and perhaps research more on how teens actually thinks and behave, but for me this just felt like paying for a bad wattpad. I made it halfway through, and I only made it that far trying to give the middle plot a chance. The poor narration also did not do this book any favors.

Satisfying Story

Story: If you’re in the mood for a good fluffy romance novel, this is it. I kept expecting the other shoe to drop but it never did. Nice to see things work out well for lesbians for once. Will be re-reading
Narration: Okay, not bad not great. Hard to distinguish between which girl was narrating the story so watch out for that

First love

This was a well done YA story of first love and coming out. They had a few personal issues. They also had to decide when to tell family and friends about them. It was a really sweet and realistic story. The narrator was very good as well.

Brilliant coming out story

This book was brilliant; it's well written and narrated. It was a happy book all the way through, with humour in it too. The two girls have great chemistry. It is nice to have a book which has family and friends so supportive of a young couple coming out. It would be a nice book for schools, which show it's not all doom and gloom, when you come out.

A bit timid

I recently listened to “Anyone but you” by the same author which I loved, so I thought I would enjoy this one too, but I thought this book was just ok. It wasn’t really bad and I finished it but I defo wasn’t hooked at it too me much longer than normal to finish. I found it a bit timid.

I didn’t think the narrator was bad, but personally I thought she sounded too old to play the 18 year old characters and I really struggled to differentiate between the 2 main characters..like there was literally no difference between the voice/personality of the reading of either of them, so I was constantly having to listen to their names being said to realise who was talking, especially at first. It took me quite a while to get into the book.

Probably a nice read for someone who is curious about their sexuality or considering coming out as their experience was overall really positive.

Would listen to another book by this author, but won’t be re-listening to this one!

Sweet

I really enjoyed the plot and although I struggled a bit at the start to get into it, I'm so glad I kept going with this book! I really loved Stella and Kyle. It was wonderful to see a disabled lead character! There was some lovely teasing but also really sweet moments that made the relationship seems very real and caring. I feel like this author writes this age group very well! I'll definitely read some more by them

Really enjoyable

I really enjoyed this book, the main characters are really likeable and it offered a potentially realistic life story of exploration and realisation with a wonderful outcome. I definitely recommend this book.
