This book just keeps going and going and wanting more. Haley Chill is awesome!! A must read

Lots of action. Brilliant story and narration. The gotcha moment in the end is a wow. Its something I have come to expect in Chis’s stories.

Audiobook Review – After author Chris Hauty’s first two thrillers, “Deep State” and “Savage Road”, I nicknamed him “Twisty Chris.” Well, after listening to his third thriller, “Storm Rising”, the ‘Master of Epic Twists’ has struck again! With this latest in the Hayley Chill series, Hauty has solidified a spot in my ‘preorder purchase before reading list.’ Three books into the series he is proving to be the master of unexpected twists in the thriller genre. He once again ups the game, in Storm Rising providing an all too real story along with further developing his deep state protagonist, Hayley Chill as a person. And just like the two other books and the short story “Resurrection”, there are plenty of jaw dropping moments that makes the listener keep listening, moments that makes the listener pause and think, and moments that makes the listener consistently go, Wow! In investigating the fate of her father, Chill uncovers evidence of white supremacy in the military. She discovers a terrifying plan where several states calling themselves the Free States of America are planning to separate themselves from the United States, which may consequently lead to a second Civil War. In steps Haley Chill to intervene and this is where the story really takes off. Intense. Fast paced. Powerful, Hauty catapults the listener through thrills and chills on just about every chapter in this action thriller. He does a fantastic job of doling out clues throughout the narrative but keeps the listener guessing with the ‘twist and turns’ until the very end. The book is current affairs recent, well researched and more personal, with a deeper and closer look into the soul of Haley Chill. I also commend Hauty for the insanely brilliant way that he continues to craft and develops the characters in all his novels. This is an unparalleled talent that shouldn’t go unnoticed in the literary business. Another ‘great’ listen (5 Stars) and a fascinating series.

Series started strong & keeps getting better!

I really hope we see more Hayley Chill in the near future. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite series!

Why would you change the narrator 3 books in?? Terrible...Ruined the series for me.

Not bad…could have been better

Did not like the constant clairvoyant meanderings. Which gave rise to immediate character dismissal as well as the lead character “being the only one”
