All she wanted was a normal life. When an unexpected destiny appears, can this high school girl and her hunky new guys rise to the challenge?

Jess Bailey hates her restricted world. With an abusive father keeping a tight leash, she dare not reveal the secret scar on her hand that kills anyone it touches. But when her drop-dead gorgeous stepbrother moves into the house, she sees the perfect escape route into some thrilling shenanigans.

Enjoying the lingering attention of her stepsibling and his two hot friends, Jess crushes hard on each of the bad boys in the crew. But when a drunken night out ignites a dangerous chain of events, she confronts the fateful purpose behind her lethal touch.

Can a teen juggle three sexy suitors and embrace a surprising future?

Still of the Night is the deliciously edgy first book in the thrilling End of Days paranormal romance series. If you like relatable characters, slow-burn tension, and cool twists on the apocalypse, then you’ll love Cerise Cole’s journey into the unknown.

This series is a joint writing project between Auryn Hadley and Kitty Cox, as we've teamed up under a combined pseudonym, Cerise Cole.

I'm definitely enjoying this story but I'm finding myself super frustrated with an 18 old acting like she is stuck under the thumb of an overbearing parent, as if she is a minor who can't leave.

such an interesting take!!!

I found this book by accident the other day because I happened to scan Auryn’s name. What a happy accident!!! I had to force myself to put the book down, and that was hard. Narration is on point, the characters are deep and well rounded. Lots of movement, it’s never stagnant, and great storytelling. I absolutely recommend.

Amazing!

Cerise Cole takes us on a journey that starts out on a very typical path. Jess seems a regular heroine: teen girl’s father has remarried bringing a step mother and soon a step brother into the picture. She is the quiet student. Gets good grades and never gets in trouble at school. Her best friend and boyfriend are there to support her. Looks like a normal setup.

Soon it becomes obvious that this isn’t the typical story arc we are expecting. The father is abusive. The step mother is cool and the step brother is HOT and our main character is not what we think.

Every time we think we know what’s next Cole makes a new twist drawing us ever deeper.

The final reveal is a shock.

A story above love and loyalty makes us stretch our definition of both.

The voice acting was really good. Hollie Jackson does most of the narration with Tim Paige taking the prelude and epilogue.

My only “big” issue for me was that her Spanish accent sounded very Slavic to me which was a bit confusing but mostly I was able to go with it.

All in all an excellent experience all around. Completely worth the money and time spent.

Not your typical teen story
