Publisher's Summary

Ten years. A decade. Time enough for a high school graduate from a small, sleepy Southern town to move on and become something. But what? And is it enough time to forget?

Trayce is an Internet entrepreneur in Chicago, and she has moved on, hired to manage the very company she founded. Is 10 years enough time to heal the emotional scars she suffered?

Solomon never moved away. The quiet boy nobody remembers but who knows all the secrets. After 10 disappointing years, can he put his life on track and make himself heard?

Janet, head cheerleader and homecoming queen, fell from grace after graduation. In Las Vegas, she works as an exotic dancer. Is 10 years enough time to get over being jilted by the love of her life?

Karim, the handsome and successful New York music video director who is on everyone's lips, wasn't always like that. Ten years ago, he was bullied and ridiculed by the Crew, the most popular clique in school. How will they react to him now?

At their 10-year class reunion, how will these four handle it? And what are their motives?

Friendships will begin. Friendships will end. Trusts will be broken and secrets revealed. And after 10 years, we'll find that...sticks and stones may break your bones, but there are worse things.

Back In The Day

All I can say is WOW! OH how I enjoyed this book. When I first started it, I didn't think I would like it but I do like Eric Peete so I continued on. By chaper six I was hooked and couldn't stop listening. Boy did this one take me back and if I hadn't realized it before, I now know high school for me was a charm. I felt so bad for Tracy, Kareem and Solomon. I definitely wasn't one of the most popular girls in high school but me and my large group of friends had our own little cliques that we weaved in and out of and for the most part had a ball daily. Didn't think I was gonna like Janet but I did. Shauna and Naomi were a trip but I came around to liking them also. This book is a good reminder of how we should treat people because you never know what others are going through or went through and how it can shape their lives. I wish Tracy had told her mother about Coach Taylor and the boys in "The Crew" but I can understand why she didn't. She (and Naomi) drserved to get some legal repercussions. All in all I really enjoyed this one. The story was well written and the narrator was great. Now I'm sitting here listening to some of that good old R&B mentioned in the book.

Not good

I like the authors books but this book did not keep my attention at all. The narrator went in and out of character I lost track and focus. The book was also long I feel like some parts could have been cut out.

Great Story w/ Multiple POVs

The author did a great job telling a story from multiple points of view. This book isn't for those with short attention spans/can't retain information from previous chapters. I could visualize the reunion as if I was actually there. lol The flashbacks to the high school events were great and needed to put everything into perspective.

A Good Damned Book

First I have to say I could not stand Janet's selfish, spoiled, self centered, asshole self, with her lying, frontin behind. She came off kind of dumb to boot. It didn't take long to know why her man wouldn't go all the way. Gerald should have kept on going. Kareem deserved better.
I enjoyed the book, it was hard to put down. The nerve of Mike and the others after what they did!!!!
Some of the narration got on my nerves a bit. Over the top

FANTASTIC BOOK

This book is really good! The trauma revealed and addressed in this read is so real...I love that Trayce had a therapist, and was able to face her demons and expose her abuser! I want another book to tell about the future happenings of Janet/ Gerald, Trayce/ Solomon and Karim/ol girl he called....
