Janiece is finally settled with her husband, Isaiah, after a whirlwind of drama with her ex-lover, K.P., and his wife. She is ready to live happily ever after, but Isaiah is called back to duty and has to serve eighteen months in Iraq. Janiece is left behind just when K.P. moves back to Chicago.

Her marriage takes a turn for the worse as her husband, Gregory, puts business before family and neglects his duties as a husband, along with his fatherly responsibilities to their twins. Janelle finds herself walking in someone else's shoes, and she realizes that what goes around sometimes comes back around.

OMG!!!

my nerves were so bad! I felt like at times I couldn't handle the suspense. However I thugged it out to the end and was pleasantly happy with the ending. At times, I found myself wondering how would I handle everything that happened in the book. It was a great reflection to stay true to thine self...

Where do I begin? This book had me on the edge of my seat and holding my breath at times!!

I read and listened to the first book, but listening to the second book had me on the edge of my seat and teary eyed with the plot twists!

OMG!! I am a big fan of Anna Black's Books. I had been waiting for this book. I love love all of Anna's books. Please have Patricia be the narrator for more books.

I loved both books. I actually read this one first… I’m happy Isaiah was alive but damn Janice went through so much with his family. I wouldn’t have went back either.

Definitely liked it more than the 1st book. A lot of bad decision making going on. I kinda feel bad about deriving such pleasure from it.

This part was stupid as hell I didn't like the ending and this book could've stayed in the mind of the beholder. I didn't even finish it it pissed me off so much.
