I really liked the book it has a great background and I really like how it has memory of Thrawn before he was exiled

Thrawn is the best character in Star Wars.

The character development is amazing and I can only hope that the films/television don’t fall into the mistake of labeling Thrawn a villain. He is not.

Great Story and Phenomenal Narration!

Story was good, a bit confusing at times to keep track of memories vs present time.
Narrator was phenomenal!

I’ve re-read this whole series at least 3 times and I’m always entertained. Thompson does such a great job and the writing is so compelling! I love the meta-narrative that the story runs along side

Amazing story and narration!

I decided to get this book after the Ahsoka season finale to get a better picture of Thrawn's character compared to what we got in Rebels and Ahsoka. And I gotta say, I have never bought a second book faster! It's a great story with a great narrator! I definitely would recommend if you liked Star Wars: Rebels and Star Wars: Ahsoka!

A great start to learning Thrawn

It was a great introduction to Thrawn. It was also a great introduction to the Chiss Ascendancy. This book describes, in depth, the inner workings of both Thrawn and the Chiss.

Fantastic effects and narration!! It’s almost like a movie in your mind! The story is captivating and will always take another direction. great story!

Mr. Thompson does a great job with the voicing of the characters. Looking forward to the next book.
