Publisher's summary

First rule of Spite Club: Don’t fall for your fake boyfriend.

Here’s what happened: My boyfriend cheated on me with Nick Mason’s girlfriend. We’re both angry. What better way to get revenge than to pretend to get together out of spite?

Nick is rude and rebellious and completely freaking gorgeous. He's not my type, and I'm not his. There's no way we would work outside of our little game of dirty sex and well-kept secrets. The problem is, he's an addiction. Or, maybe, a plague.

The more time I spend with him, the more I risk my good-girl image and my carefully built life.

I might want what's bad for me. I might want Nick. And I might have to convince him - if I can survive him.

Really worth reading

I enjoyed this book way more than I thought I would, though I should have trusted that Julie Kriss would pull of this story line perfectly.
Somehow this book manages to get the perfect balance between drama, but not too much, hot sex scenes, but still an interesting storyline and the best part is that I can connect with the characters and actually care what happens.
The best part is that we get all this and the female lead isn’t a weak useless idiot and the main hero doesn’t hit her once, always gets consent and surprisingly doesn’t try and control her like she is a child.
The only down side is that it’s too short

A great rom-com

Having met under odd circumstances--discovering their partners were cheating on them with each other--the coupling of Nick and Evie isn't evident. Nick, a douchy guy w/no job who parties all the time is quite the opposite from hard-working Evie with plans for her future. But fate seems determined to bring them together. After spending time together, Nick and Evie get to know each other, and find out they have a bit more in common than either of them thought. And those differences turn out to be a pretty good thing, as well.

This was a funny, cute, and kinda hot eventual love story. Julie Kriss is a favorite author, and I really enjoyed getting to know Nick and Evie.

Joe Arden and Lessa Lamb were great narrating this story. Next up for me will be Andrew's story.

Truly Loved This Book

This love story developed in a unique, steady and unrushed manner. Nick and Evies chemistry was off the chart! I also loved Andrew and Trish Nick's brother and Evies sister. Along with some joyous moments, there were also some sad ones. Nick's love for his older brother, Andrew was beautiful, First time, I ever read anyhing written by Julie Kriss and I am sure it is not going to be the last. Truly enjoyed her style, also, it is the first time I listened to Lessa Lamb, and enjoyed her sexy, sultry voice. She and Joe Arden narrated well together

Spite turns to love

This is a sweet book that starts out bad. Evie has tried desperately to have a good girl vibe but when she gets a call that her boyfriend has been caught cheating on her and is about to be beat up she never dreamed that she would fall for the guy that called her and how her bad girl would come out to play.

Nick suspected his girlfriend was cheating on him and when he caught them red handed he decides to share the info with the guys girlfriend. What he didn't expect was the sparks between him and Evie and how much he wants not only to protect her but to keep her.

Joe Arden was a perfect Nick. Loved listening to him. Lessa Lamb was good as Evie. She portrayed her sweet side well..

I enjoyed this book. It has some family dynamics for both Nick and Evie that they have to work through. It also shows us to do what makes us happy and to not try to please everyone else. You have to please yourself first. It also shows us there is more that meets the eyes sometimes and that was the case with Nick. He puts off a bad boy image but deep down he is a good guy. I recommend this book.

Bad Boy Reformed

Evie gets a call from a stranger that her boyfriend is cheating. The stranger, Mason, is giving a courtesy call to let her know that her boyfriend and his girlfriend are hooking up and he’s going to confront them.

After the altercation Evie realizes she’s attracted to Bad Boy Mason but doesn’t want to upset the “good girl” life she’s been working hard at. Will allowing Mason to make her ex jealous be the best choice for Evie?

I got swoony hearing Mason go soft for Evie and how much he took care of his brother. Most of us come from dysfunctional families of sorts and I liked how it brought them closer together.

Great Book !!! I have Heart Eyes for this author !!!

I just found JKriss recently and I love every single thing of hers that I’ve read. Love JArden’s work as well I have a lot of books read by him. Nice voice and range as well as great character representation. First time listen for LLamb though. I really enjoyed her voice and depth of emotion, be it funny or angry or stunned. I’ll be looking into other works by her for certain. Nick and Evie’s story was short but impactful. When you finally find out why Nick is so guarded and brash you’ll just want to hold him then smother him with love and care. Had a few points where I didn’t really like him much. Lol. But at the end he made a lot of sense. If people didn’t hold so much in. If the spoke there truth so many things in life would be that much sweeter, simpler. And they say women are complicated. Evie though I rallied for her right out of the gate she was strong but also a bit crushed and confused. Flopping about trying and failing. Hitting repeat. I loved that in the end she found her courage and put others in their place (with love and class to boot). Followed her mind and heart. As alway JK fills her book with humor that makes you laugh out loud and lifts you up. All the while delivering life’s little lessons and sweet love and in this book .... some Major Heat !!!! Nick and Evie have chemistry be it while fighting or playing there is plenty of steam and ... this won’t make sense until you read but ... lovely filth. In my opinion this book will not disappoint and you’ll most like read it again as well as grab up JK’s other great books !!!
