Steve doesn’t care who he was. He knows more than enough to realize it doesn’t matter at all. Now living in what had once been the Creeplands and maintaining a thriving farm there, they are under constant siege from the Creep itself. It's still better than life in Lamals. And that’s just how it is. After taking over the Citadel, removing Lynn from her place of power, stopping the Creep’s advance, and starting to take over part of the Creeplands, he was certainly making a difference for himself, humans, and men everywhere.

Sebastian Frost was a man with an interesting reputation. He’d killed 12 giants, eight heroes, a duke, and even a prince. But nobody ever talked about any of that. All they talked about was the deviant, disgusting, detestable Herald of Shalia that shamelessly laid with elves. That was because in the strange world based on game mechanics Frost found himself in, laying with elves was somehow treated like laying with animals. Naturally, they weren’t calling him Herald Frost the giant killer....

Warner spent his days like almost anyone else. He got up, went to work, answered phone calls in a call center, went home, spent time with his daughter, and went to sleep. Only to repeat the pattern over and over and over. Life was as mundane as anyone could ever fear it to be. Today was the day that all that would change. On this day, his daughter Maya would be nearly fatally injured, plunging Warner into a world of paranormal creatures, monsters, and magic he’d never known existed. The only consolation is that he discovers he’s not quite human, either.

Can't win for losin'...As any gambler will tell you, luck runs hot and cold. For my many sins I've been forced to scrape a life out of poker games and side-jobs on the fringes of civil society. I thought I hit it big when I raked 50-grand off the table at a roadhouse in Texas. It is amazing what a win can cost you. Story
An existence spent being forced to kill others to satiate a Monster. Where the only thing to look forward to was the blessed, if brief, period of time between paying that bribe. Except that very same Monster is and isn’t Rene. It just happened to live inside his own mind and force him to do what it wanted. Rather than being an actual Monster. That was Rene’s entire life until a fateful day changed that. A day that the career as a hitman for hire built on the Monster’s needs will end. Where Rene will be forced to atone for his actions. To be held accountable and judged.

Publisher's Summary
In the world of Kadora, a new power awakens....
Trapped and alone, Aziel is the greatest secret the Caelian Empire ever kept. For centuries he has been imprisoned as empires turned to dust and the world of Kadora changed around him - only to be released at last by Celia, a beautiful succubus.
As Aziel faces a race against time and struggles to master his immense powers, he must gather together his own group of loyal followers. It will take all the wit and counsel he can muster to navigate an unfamiliar world balanced on a knife’s edge as a rival kingdom moves to claim the Central Wilds, the land he now inhabits....
If Aziel fails, then those who have placed their trust in him - including the fiery succubus Celia and loyal Astrel, the queen of an ancient race - will pay the ultimate price. So begins a race to build a new home. But who - or what - is ultimately controlling this world? And does it want Aziel to succeed?
Combining minor elements of litRPG with a tantalizing mystery, Soul Weaver is the action-packed tale of a world on the brink of great change that will leave fantasy fans hungry for more.
Warning: This audiobook contains scenes of graphic violence and non-traditional relationship structures.

Wonderous torture
So many questions so few answers. Love the world and how the magic works but like most things in life the further into the story you're drag the more you and the main character figure out know nothing in a race which began long ago. I hope there's going to be a book two, would love to see what Aziel's trait does fully.

my one complaint...
the writer switches the main character's personality when things involve the ant queen. if it was similar to how he reacts to the other romantic interest, it wouldn't feel so disjointed.
men act very similarly ,to a woman, in every relationship they have. so why would 1 act differently with 2 women during the same period?

Awesome performance
Can’t go wrong with Jessica Threet and Daniel Wisniewski! Great performance. The story developed slow but was captivating the longer you listened. It’s very hard to understand the main characters morals though. They tow the line from being evil and cruel to kinda and almost heroically benevolent. Very confusing but it’s a good book to throw on if you work a mundane job. Over all 4starts. Great narrators! Okay story.

Mediocre
The performance and inventiveness of this world is well done. But the story telling and dialogue is boring and cliche. The author is trying to setup a huge world and backstory, but it’s just not entertaining enough to care.

Fantastic start to a series
I went into this book with an idea of a kingdom building story with some adult situations but found a compelling storyline that I couldn't put down. The story starts off a bit slow but after the major characters were introduced the story took off and I ended up putting off sleeping until the very end of the story. I would highly recommend this book if your interested in a story with more realistic op main character with limitations that make sense for the world he finds himself in. This is not a transported to another world book but one that finds a character having gained immense power but facing the fact that with great power comes an overwhelming amount of rules and stipulations on using it outside of his place of power.

Struggled to care about the characters
The more I read, the less I started to care about the characters and their cause.
It's not just that they dark aligned were amoral, or did immoral things, I really didn't care much for their cause.
Relatively good plotting and ideas wasted on a weak overarching story, and fade to black sex scenes.
Great narration by Jessica Threet, Daniel Wisniewski made me get through this so if these things appeal to you, maybe you'll have better luck than I did,

Stellar narration and top tier story
The narration is excellent and I'm a real fan of duel narrators, it just makes the audiobook itself feel more alive and gives the characters more realness.
The story itself is great, written or read out very well. I think the pacing is great and it's super easy to get absorbed into this great world the author has created, can't wait for the second book!

Gripping story
*NO SPOILERS*
This story is absolutely amazing. So good I found it hard to put down! It is a mix between a fantasy and a litrpg (some level statistics). The world and magic system is very well explained. The book is very gory and the author does an amazing job providing the reader with vivid images of each gruesome detail. Most of all the authors MCs follow a non-standard path 'to success'. It's really a interesting and unique take provides a fresh out look. I cant wait for book 2!
