The civil war is over, but the struggle for power is just beginning!

In the aftermath of a devastating civil war, America has fallen into anarchy and chaos. Los Angeles is divided into different territories controlled by criminal organizations. Don Antonio Moretti has won a slice of the pie, but is hungry for more. In his quest for power, he sends his nephew and a small crew to Mexico to negotiate a new deal for their staple product, while the don returns to Italy for some unfinished business.

While the crime families battle for power in LA, Dominic Salvatore and his elite team at the LAPD fight tirelessly to stem the rot. But their fight often seems futile in a force rife with corruption. Dom's father Ronaldo is a deputy fighting to secure the border, but when intel arises about his missing daughter, he leaves Los Angeles for the desert wastes - to find her and bring her home.

To the Morettis and the Salvatores, family is everything, and they will protect their own, no matter the cost.

Excellent Sequel

Sons of War 2: Saints is the second book in the excellent The Sons of War Series by best-selling author Nicholas Sansbury Smith. With a superb performance by award-winning actor and narrator Ray pORTER. this is a great followup to the extremely promising first book.

I was not ready

I knew bad things were coming, and I thought I was ready for it. But I wasn't even close to ready for what came in this book!
The Salvatores are quite literally falling apart in the aftermath of the events of the war, and the Morettis are waging war on anybody who stands in the way of their domination of LA. The police can't be trusted and the criminals rule the city. You would think that nothing could have surprised me, but Nicholas Sansbury Smith managed to surprise me twice in this book. And I am eagerly waiting to see where he goes next. Because I'm still expecting an epic confrontation that hasn't happened yet.

a greattttt series

a fun series and a great performance for both books thus far even with proper pronunciation which is sometimes slightly distracting, as it is a constant reminder of how bad most of our spoken english has become

GREAT LISTEN!

Really another good story from Nicholas Sansbury Smith. I have been a huge fan. I only wish Renaldo could have finished his quest. Great narration :)

Awesome new take on Post Apocalyptic!

A unique and fresh take on the post apocalyptic. At first I was skeptical... but the multiple storylines pulled me in and along for the ride quickly. Blew through books 1 & 2 and now must wait for #3 to become available. If you are a fan of Post Apocalyptic, Near Future, NO Zombies genre. You'll dig this series.

Wonderful follow-up!!

Nicholas Sansbury Smith has created a magnificent post-apocalyptic world in his Sons of War series and this sequel was nothing shirt of amazing!!

I cannot wait for the third book to come out on 2/16.

As always, Ray Porter is the GOAT.

Fantastic series! Now give me book three!

Nick has such a way of developing a storyline, atmosphere, set of characters, and settings that really draws you in. I have been rooting for Don Antonio since the first book and I can't wait to see what happens as we move into the third entry in the series. The book is so vivid and enthralling that I was glad I had a nice long drive to Texas so I could listen to it in one go.

If you haven't looked at this series, or if you read/listened to book one and stopped, please go on. This series just gets so much better!

5 stars.

Don Antonio is not giving up any ground

This second installment of the series is better than the first book, and that is a rare thing. The Moretti family and their thirst for power and revenge makes for an action packed and engaging story from start to finish.

I cannot wait for book 3 to see who ends up in their cross-hairs next.

Can’t wait for book 3

This is a great book in a great series. I love the characters and the writing and narration are on point (as always from NSS and Ray Porter).
Surely this has to be picked up for tv or film, a sopranos or godfather for our generation.
