Phenomenal!

NSS is always a treat. The Sons of War series is a great blend of post-apocalyptic thriller and mafia saga,

Fractured America after economic collapse.

A second civil war and leaves cities like Los Angeles in chaos.

Overall, it’s a pulse-pounding, binge-worthy series that merges crime drama with end-times survival.

As are all of Nick’s books, it’s authenticity and fast-paced storytelling.

Civil War + Organized Crime = relentless page turn

I already owned book 1 and 2, but blew through book 3 and 4 once I found this in a box set. Really good action, excellent characters, and a unique premise with the organized crime aspect. The fact this is read by Audie winner Ray Porter is a huge plus. He's one of my favorite narrators! Don't pass this up!

Sopranos Meets end of the world… But not quite

Loved this story from start to the finale. Plenty of twist and turns, lies and betrayals. Loved the action and the unexpected turns and plot twist, a worthy read for sure.

the narrator put me to sleep

I loved all the other series, but for some reason I could not follow this one, the narrator was putting me to sleep. I'll find the paperback and read them myself. will come back and update the rating

Oustanding!

These books are very underrated in the post apocalyptic genre. I saw one reader say it's the Sopranos meets Mad Max, and that's pretty accurate when you add in the 4th installment. Smith's vision of a futuristic America torn apart by a Civil War is both timely and terrifying. The best part for me is the added mafia and organized crime elements. Add in Ray Porter, and this is one of the best series I've listened to in a long time. Definitely give this a try!
