2025 EXPANDED EDITION ACCORDING TO THE AUTHOR’S ORIGINAL VISION

The city of the Jebusites is thought to be impossible to capture. But for David and his fledgling kingdom, there is no choice.

It must be captured.

Meanwhile, the Philistines are still as powerful as ever, and their threat is always looming. For generations they have tormented the people of Israel, and David believes the time has come to end their threat—forever.

As a once-in-a-lifetime storm batters the hills and valleys of Israel, David and his Mighty Men face their greatest test. From the thunder of chariot clashes to an attack on a terrifying fortress, they must risk everything against enemies who will not yield.

If they are victorious, a new life will begin. If they fail, all is lost.

Song of War is the third book in the epic Lion of War series: the thrilling tale of the men who fought with King David in his darkest hours and established the throne he was destined to claim.

If God inhabits the praises of His people, this book is a tabernacle worthy of His Dwelling! The epic story of King David and His Mighty Men continues to unfold in a most compelling and exciting manner. In Song of War, we see the price that is often paid when doing God's will, the camaraderie created in combat, and how God responds to faith not facts. Here, we see what the sacrifice of praise actually looks like; what it means to give an offering from that which costs us something.

Stefan Rudnicki's performance brings a soothing resonance that creates the comforting hospitality of a favorite storyteller, sitting around a warm and blazing campfire. Again, I say, Cliff writes biblical fiction in a way that makes the story feel plausible and even probable. He also creates a curiosity that makes one want to go and read (or re-read) 1 & 2 Samuel, 1 Chronicles and Psalms to see how and when scripture appears in the dialogue.

Words cannot express how much I LOVE this series. It continues to be a source of abiding inspiration, instruction, and illumination. Thank you for your service, War Chief! You and your work were born for a time such as this! Praise and arrows!

This book just like the whole series brings to life the struggle and war David had to go through with his Mighty men to be the King of Israel. The author uses the Bible, Scholarly research, real world travels, and military knowledge to bring a story of plausible events. This is a great book within a great series. Give it a listen if you want to transport yourself back to Ancient Israel.
