Using his legendary ability to get to the root of human potential, Napoleon Hill digs deep to reveal how fear, procrastination, anger, and jealousy prevent us from realizing our personal goals. This long-suppressed parable, once considered too controversial to publish, was written by Hill in 1938 following the publication of his classic bestseller, Think and Grow Rich. Annotated and edited for a contemporary audience by Rich Dad, Poor Dad and Three Feet from Gold coauthor Sharon Lechter, this book is profound, powerful, resonant, and rich with insight.

Story
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Something Beautiful = Something Useful
They say the journey of 1000 miles starts with a single step. Small steps best summarizes this book. Little changes. Nothing earth-shattering, which is good. Earth shattering changes never work.
Rebecca Hansen did a great job narrating. She had a nice, encouraging tone, and keeps the information coming at a good, digestible pace. Her narration made me want to come back and keep listening. I was provided a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is the kind of book that I wanted to make last over a long period as opposed to a binge-listen in one sitting. It's a book that you can listen to over and over again because there are so many useful tips that you can be reminded of often. It's impossible to be in a bad mood when you listen to this book.
And that's Something Beautiful.

I learned something new!
Would you listen to Something Beautiful again? Why?
I would listen to Something Beautiful again! I have read several books in this type of genre, and there were some new things that I learned that I can add to what I had previously learned about living a more beautiful life! Things I had not heard before!
What did you like best about this story?
I enjoyed the narrator's soothing voice. This came across as a "day book"where it might best be enjoyed as a "chapter a day" book. Several times I thought, "gee, I wish I had a hard copy so I could highlight it and refer back to it!"; It would have been nice to have the "playlists" in writing, too.

A compilation of the principles of personal growth
This is a good compilation of the principles of personal growth leading to peace and happiness. If you are just starting your journey into understanding yourself and making efforts to grow beyond your life's hurdles, then this book is for you! If you are seasoned in your study and practice of the principles of personal growth, then this could be a good refresher course that pulls in wisdom from many different areas of study you normally would not find in the same place.
This book covers some basics and is not a deep exploration of the subject. However; most of the time it is the simplest things that make the most effectual change.

This book is geared toward a younger audience than me but I really enjoyed the book. The concepts and the idea of a music list is wonderful. I even found some music that I love and didn't know about. Rebecca Hansen is the narrator and she does a good job. I would recommend this book to anyone but I think a 20ish would really enjoy it. Some Helpful Information in This Audiobook
Something Beautiful was a pretty insightful listen. I picked up a lot of good information and helpful suggestions such as ways to be more positive and sticking to your own truths. Overall, I liked the book. Either taking it pieces at a time or as a whole, this audiobook is for the listener to learn to have a happier and healthier life.
Doing the "lifesavers" everyday to improve your day was neat with taking the first letter of the word 'savers' and doing certain exercises that correspond to each letter. I thought the playlists were interesting as well.
Rebecca Hansen's performance was good.. She spoke clearly and was easy to understand. It was a little monotone but still good. All in all this was a good listen.

I was feeling a little blue this evening so I started listening to this story while cleaning the house and it pulled me right out of my bad mood. I love the positive, hopeful and uplifting message it delivers. The suggestions given for ways to add joy to my life were wonderful and I love the playlist of songs at the end of each chapter. Very cool idea! Rebecca Hansen's performance was just lovely. Her voice is clear, bright and if I had to describe it in just one word, it would be "HAPPY". I felt as if I was listening to a dear friend speaking to me and I couldn't help but smile. Loved this listen!

This is a great book for someone who is looking to make changes in their lives. If you have read other self help/motivational books before, you may want to skip this one. It is a great book, but I had heard all of this advice before. It's more for someone who is just beginning to look into such books. Great beginner book.

Think happy, be happy
What was one of the most memorable moments of Something Beautiful?
Although a simple plan of action, to think happy, to eat well, to care for others, it is one many of us forget. This book is a gentle reminder that we will get more out of life, if we put more into it. Enjoyed the way this was put in this book.
I enjoyed the way chapters began with a playlist. Clever touch, one to remember.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, I had to take time out at intervals to digest all that I had listened too. Not a book to be rushed. Will probably listen again a few times to get the most out of it.
