Publisher's Summary

When my college crush, Talbot Richardson, was elected to the United States Senate, I bragged a little too loudly that I knew him. Oops. Did I really know the sexiest, slickest guy on campus? Not a chance in hell. Unless knowing someone is following them around campus to see which dorm they live in, and which class they have at 8 a.m. on Wednesdays.

Oh, and I might have stalked him in the dining hall, too. He liked grilled cheese.

Thanks to my big mouth, the paper I work for now expects me to do a story on him. Surely he’ll meet with me since we went to college together? Right? Logical assumption, except that he doesn’t know me from a hole in the wall. But I wasn’t about to blow my chance with the paper.

My gig writing obituaries was not exactly a fulfilling career, especially since I had student loans up to my eyeballs. I wanted more than obits - I wanted to report on real news, to prove myself, and even to work in the face of danger. A girl’s got to have dreams. I needed a break. A big one.

So, I was getting an interview with Talbot Richardson if it was the last thing I did, whether I had to beg, borrow, steal, or...even take my panties off.

Even Teddy can’t save this one

Worst story ever! It was the worst combination of selfish characters, terrible female narrator and terrible plot and dialogue. Teddy is five stars but even he couldn’t save it

Every second (or maybe third) word is an F-Bomb. Certainly don’t want that filthy language in my ears for a few hours!😤

Slick Senator

Another entertaining addition to the Hero club world. This was a quick listen that took me less than a day to finish. Easy with minimal drama and a few steamy scenes. Great narration

Cricket and Talbot

So maybe I like stalkers because I really enjoyed this story. It was short and the love story was developed very quickly but overall I really liked it💕Teddy Hamilton is as always so good and summer Roberts isn’t far behind. Loved the narrators

Story not up to par with the franchise

I can usually count on the Cocky Hero Club books to be of a certain caliber, but this one fell short. The narration by Summer and Teddy was fabulous, and the only reason I finished the book.
The premise for the story was fine and could have been good, the character development was sorely lacking, specifically the heroine. She wanted to move out of obits and into serious journalism at a DC paper, but knew nothing about politics or economics? And she’s sleeping with a Senator she’s hoping to write a story about but never disclosed the relationship? I found myself laughing out loud at times, and not in a good way.

Another great Hero Club story

I really enjoyed Summer Roberts and Teddy Hamilton’s narration of this book. Their engaging voices brought this story to life!

Cricket tells a bit of a fib about her college crush, Talbot Richardson-who is now the youngest senator in history. It’s a huge leap from writing obits to political stories, especially when Talbot has no idea who she is! There’s funny, awkward bits and sweet blissful bits. A perfect story to listen to.

Cover does not match story....

I thought that the writing of the book was good. The storyline was lacking. I am not saying that I hated the book but I am not saying that I loved it. The story is quick, sweet, funny, and low and the drama meter.
