Life is a journey that leaves scars on our hearts until we take our last breath. This saying rings true for both Kat and Fred as they attempt to pick up the pieces of their lives after Juanita's murder by the Sinville Police Department.

Unfortunately for them and the rest of the town, capitalism waits for no one, especially when the greedy and power-hungry Mayor James seeks to put his multibillion-dollar jail plan in motion. What makes him dangerous is not only his political power, but also his ties to Kareem and Pastor Thomas, who are also willing to push forward the agenda to increase the construction of more jails throughout the town.

Will Kat and Fred be able to figure out a way to stop this trio of modern sellouts or will they fall victim to the ruthless aggression of the state?
