A new addition to the Zondervan line of biblical Greek resources. This resource includes everything a professor or a student will need.Sing and Learn New Testament Greek provides a way for learning (and remembering!) New Testament Greek grammar forms through simple songs. It is not designed to compete with existing Greek grammar books, but to serve as a required supplemental resource for elementary Greek classes. Indeed, it has been designed to be used alongside of any introductory grammar. A professor can simply assign to his or her students any (or some) of the songs for the paradigms a particular elementary grammar employs. In this way, students will actually remember what they have learned. (As we are all aware, people do not easily forget something learned via song.)The entire project includes songs for indicative verb endings, participles, infinitives, imperatives, contract forms, and prepositions, among others. All but the last song can be sung in 15 seconds or less. Parsing is enormously easier through this method. And it is a lot more fun than traditional methods. (Are we allowed to even use the word “fun” in reference to elementary Greek? Absolutely!) Beginning Greek students can listen to the download as they drive to and from school or work, or put it on their iPod. These songs are so simple that students who have used them complain about waking up in the middle of the night with the songs running through their heads. You’ll never hear that complaint from students who have had to use rote memory to learn grammar forms. Bible Study Bibles & Bible Study Christianity Ministry & Evangelism Greece Learn Greek

a very good and useful tool to help memorize key grammatical facts. people tend to remember things that are set to music and rhyme.

great resource

This is wonderful! I have experience with learning a foreign language (I’m currently earning a Masters in German, with the goal of teaching it), and am now tackling New Testament Greek for myself just to be able to read and understand God’s Word more deeply. Learning a language takes time and patience, but the use of songs as mnemonic aids is an amazing “hack” that can speed up the process. These songs are short enough to be able to listen through all of them at least once a day (preferably with the charts from the PDF in front of you to give a visual stimulus). With Audible you can slow down the speed to .75x (or even .5x) at first to follow along more easily. Thank you for making this!

Thank you!!!

Would you try another book from Kenneth Berding and/or the narrator?

This would be better if the audio was broken into tracks. Since this is a learning tool which needs to be repeated over and over again, it would be most helpful to go to specific tracks for review. It is much more difficult to navigate the audio when it is just one big track.

This is music; not a book

What made the experience of listening to Sing and Learn New Testament Greek the most enjoyable?

The way the songs package New Testament Greek grammar is superb.

What other book might you compare Sing and Learn New Testament Greek to and why?

I've not seen anything like this before, but it is truly game-changing.

Any additional comments?

The vocals are not lovely, but if you are coming to this wanting to get a practical overview of Greek grammar that will stick with you, then this is it. The PDF companion is a must have with the songs.

I expected at least a little narration to explain what was being taught with the songs. The was no significant content.

Not what I expected

The pronunciation is terrible, overall formant is nonsense. this audio book is a waste of time.

this is so dumb!

The audible version does not help you to understand what you are hearing so it is just disconnected sounds and phrases for the most part. Maybe it will seem better when I know more.

Not very helpful
