Publisher's Summary

From the New York Times best-selling author who Gena Showalter calls "decadently sinful" comes a forbidden romance in the beloved Demonica series.

As the only female Seminus demon ever born, master assassin Sinead Donnelly is used to being treated like an outcast. She spent decades enslaved, and now vows she'll die before she'll relinquish her freedom again. Then, Sin's innate ability to kill her enemies goes awry: She creates a lethal new werewolf virus that sparks a firestorm of panic and violence.

Half-werewolf, half-vampire Conall Dearghul is charged with bringing in Sin to face punishment for the plague. And she's no stranger: He's bound to her by blood, and the one sexual encounter they shared has left him hungering for her raw sensuality. Worse, Sin is the underworld's most wanted and Con soon learns he's the only one who can help her...and that saving her life might mean sacrificing his own.

Great book, awful narrator

I absolutely love The Demonica series. I couldnt put them down when I first read them so I was so looking forward to the audio version. I listen to audio books daily and all are paranormal romance/urban fantasy, so I am no newbie to audio or this genre. The narrator made it very difficult to listen, I actually dreaded it but did finish because aI love these books. As I said I have listened everyday for about 2 years now to audio books. Every narrator, male and female, were able to identify with each character. I came to know how the character was just by their speech. This narrator mostly sounded like she was reading the book only. Im going to write the publishing company of this audio to beg them to please change narrators for future books. If you listen like I do you will understand immediately what I mean. Sin sounded like a little girl and not the firce woman she is!

I’d recommend reading SIN UNDONE over listening

I don’t know why I’ve put off listening to this audiobook for so long because it’s hands down the best DEMONICA installment yet! Sin’s story is an emotional one full of highs and lows with plenty of toe curling sex scenes along the way. It took a while for me to get used to Ava Camille Edwards’s narration; ultimately she did an ok job I guess, but I was a little annoyed by this series’ ever changing voice even though it does fit the writing. I enjoyed the main romance as well as Luc & Kar’s side one, and loved the way Larissa Ione wrapped-up this series while also laying the building blocks for LORDS OF DELIVERANCE.

Sin’s tale was the most unique out of the Seminu demons because well, she is one of a kind after all. Her past is rather heartbreaking, and she clearly demonstrated on multiple occasions that being a succubus isn’t as fun as it sounds. Imagine not knowing that you’re a sex demon, and then on your 18th birthday unquenchable unexplainable horniness hits, and you go from being a virgin to a nympho. As a result, Sin’s only ever done the deed to feed, and has been missing out on the finer aspects of love making such as foreplay and deeper connections. She’s a very conflicted character, and I enjoyed following her growth throughout this story.

This novel’s plot revolved around Wargs which are this author’s version of werewolves. Sin’s responsible for a deadly virus that’s sweeping the globe, and instigating a civil war among the furry. I loved learning about the differences between born vs bitten Wargs, Feast Wargs, & Dhampires. Conall, the male lead, falls into the latter category, and his reasons for avoiding relationships at all costs were just as disturbing as the assassin’s. But, when these two broken characters get together they become two pieces of the same whole. The sex scenes are plentiful and HOT, not to mention creative! At one point there’s even a snowball involved…

I struggled a little with Ava Camille Edwards’s narration at first, but once I got into the story I was better able to overlook her monotone delivery thanks to Ione’s superb writing. She wasn’t bad per say, however it felt like Edward’s was straight-up reading the book instead of bringing it to life. The differences between her character voices were minimal, and her rendition of the spicy scenes left something to be desired. In my opinion, her voice is better suited for a younger POV, not a sultry succubus. She was hands down my least favourite narrator in this series.

I’d recommend reading SIN UNDONE over listening to it, but otherwise I enjoyed the conclusion to Larissa Ione’s DEMONICA world. It was great seeing all of the characters one last time, and now I’m psyched to meet the four horsemen!

3.5 stars for the final installment of Demonica

I think this book had a lot of good points and potential, but the story was about an hour too long and the plot was a bit scattered to keep me interested. One of the highlights in my opinion is the narrator: Ava Camille Edwards. I wish this series had one narrator for all 5 books. I liked the first narrator and this narrator the best.

Demonica series begins with Pleasure Unbound, which truly is one of my favorite audiobooks. While none of the books were as good as the first, they are all very good and I highly recommend the series.

Sin Undone is a sort of prerequisite for the next Larissa Ione series, "Lords of Deliverance." (series has very high praise as of the latest release.)
Full Disclosure: nearly all my friends loved Sin Undone! I had just reread the series when I got to this book and all together, there is a great deal of doomsday drama in the plot. I think I began to get tired of constant roadblocks in the relationships, and melodramatic plot lines that were more involved with each book.

If you like PNRs that are heavy with action, this book will be a treat. But we're dealing with saving the world, saving the heavens, keeping bad demons from taking over the universe etc. sometimes it felt like overkill.

Horrible narration

The plot was good but the narration was the worst I've ever listened to. The narrator put punctuation where it shouldn't be and I felt like I was listening to an automated telephone service, with emphasis on the wrong words. I found myself re-wording sentences in my head as I was listening.

Example: "I have finished my work." [pause] The accountant SAID with glee.

rather than "I have finished my work," the accountant said with glee.

Good Book Bad Narrator

The story is typical of the series, if you enjoy Larissa Ione then you will enjoy the plot of the book. Its the narrator that ruins the experience for the listener. The narrators voice is more suitable for storybook time at the local children's library than reading a paranormal romance with explicit language. Her voice is overly childlike and without proper inflection. She makes a book that is supposed be grown up and a little dark sound like a young adult novel. When the bad-ass assassin/demons start to sound like whining 13 year olds then something is wrong. Its not the writing its the reading that make this audio book so difficult to listen to. I suggest listening to the sample before you spend your credit if the narrator's voice doesn't bother you then this book will definitely keep you interested.

I want more!!! Larissa Ione ROCKS!!!!

I started reading Larissa Ione just recently and I have to saw, she really know how to grab a sci-fi, fantasy addict!!! I love this whole series and am hoping that the rest of this series will end up on Audible. Sooner rather than later.!! The stories in the Demonica series (Sin Undone) really make me think....why not a demon hospital with hunky werewolf and dhampir, (rare cross between a werewolf and a vampire) as EMTs? Audible would really do good to get the others of this series (that are out on audio, just not on Audible).
I also like Sydney Croft which is Larissa Ione and Stephanie Tyler writing together. The comfort zone was pushed a little with some of those.....but I got over that real fast.....Great stories all.

Great story, but terrible narrator.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I've listen to all the books in the Demonica series and this is, by far, the worst narrated of all the books. I felt like the narrator didn't fully grasp what the story was about. The inflection in her readings were off as well as the pace in her delivery. I'm glad I was familiar with the characters enough to understand what the narrator wasn't correctly portraying.

Any additional comments?

The story is fantastic and I love listening to the Sem brother's family grow. Larissa Ione has brought a really great paranormal romance world to life in this series. Each book can be a stand alone if you want to test out the Demonica world, but I would highly recommend reading all of the stories in order so you can get the full impact of the Demonica world.

Ditto, Good book, Baad Narrator

I'm with the other reviewers on this one, the book was good, the narrator was AWFUL! She had no variation in her voice at all in reference to what the characters were saying or doing. Drove me nuts. I'd suggest reading this one or getting an ebook version.

A Family at last!!!

This was so much more than Conall & Sin’s story! This was about the ties that bind us, be they physical, mental, family or whatever else and which ones are by force or choice. This is about growing and learning who you are and who you want to be.

Sin & Con are too hot together and but they both have their own demons to deal with and protecting each other is more important than their personal wants and needs. More importantly we learn how together the Sem family is stronger than any bond!

Throughout this story new characters are introduced and I know there new stories & worlds will be epic!

One in a series, readers should try previous books

Larissa Ione may not be as well known as some of the vamp/ supernatural authors out there, but she is def. worth reading/listening to. Her series of characters consist of demons, weres, vamps and they are highly entertaining. This story is about the demon sister Sin and how she finds a mate. It is a great read and at times made me blush and look around to see if anyone could hear the naughty scenes the narrator was describing, via my I pod headphones. I highly recommend it.
