When an EMP wipes out the power grid, Caroline Thompson is alone on the family ranch while her husband, Luke, and their son are stranded in Fort Worth as chaos erupts. With no power, no law, and danger at every turn, Caroline must fight her way into the collapsing city to find them.

But bringing her family back together is only the beginning. Looters are closing in, determined to take everything Caroline has fought to protect as their ranch turns into a battleground for survival.

I am disappointed because Silent Refuge was not a boxset, for a series of related books; it was individual books by different authors, not the same characters from book to book. The description of the story only applies to the first 7hours 45minutes about the Thompson family getting out of the city. The next 4 books have nothing to do with the Thompsons or any of the other characters.

I have to find time to contact Audible about this. The link to see the books in the series brings up 7 books but there are 5 books in this set and only some are in the list of 7.

There are a few sets that I have found with William Stone, Robert Walker, and Clay… as authors that have similar issues with the books listed in the box set not being a series.

I guess they might have done this on purpose but if so they really should be explaining the fact that it’s 5 stories and give a little summary of each one so it’s clear it’s not a series.

Not a Boxset, 5 different books
