Publisher's summary

For the first time ever, a survivor tells the shocking inside story of her time trapped in Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s alleged sex trafficking ring.

Sarah Ransome moved to New York at the age of 22 with hopes for a better life, an education, and a career in fashion. Her dreams were destroyed almost overnight when she met Jeffrey Epstein and was invited to an island paradise disguising her personal hell.

“By sharing my testimony…I hope to see both minds and laws changed. More than anything, I want to encourage a culture in which women, even if they haven’t led the perfect lives, even if they’re not proud of every one of their choices, still feel the right to stand in their truth.”

This story is her day in court.

Brilliant. Tragic. Shocking.

This stunning tale is very well written and narrated. It makes real to the reader the experiences of the victims behind the headlines.

Heartbreaking and powerful!

Sarah is a force of power that gives us an understanding of how once past, often generation after generation can lead to a path that crushes once dreams and one self instead of blossoming into ones true potential. Every man and woman should read this book. To better understand and learn to not judge. Beautifully read by Henrietta. I believe you Sarah.

Well written

I like the way it was written and read and am so happy they found Ghislaine Maxwell guilty.

Incredible.

While beyond disturbing this story is nothing short of great bravery from Sarah. No one can twist her story this is truly, authentically hers. What an incredible book. Really glad I took a listen. Would recommend this to anyone.

This book is full of wisdom from an amazing, strong women who has lived through and grown from the nightmare of human trafficking. Her ability to use her pain and the “stallion” in her to help others is beyond an example of beauty for all of us. Learn about this ugly reality and do your part in putting an end to this human slavery and trafficking of our children!

These Women were true warriors. God Bless Them.

it saddens me that even today in 2022 the innocent have to fight so hard to prove what happened to them is true. There's so much evidence but yet we overlook it. It makes me sick that our government, all governments are so corrupt. These women are warriors! God bless them. She did an outstanding job readings book. I couldn't put it down. Her story was amazing and so raw and real. It was a great book.

Hard To Follow

⭐⭐ 2 STARS First of all, my two star rating has nothing to do with Sarah's story and what she had to go through. I didn't particularly like the narrator that was chosen for this book. I feel that a different accent would have been better sounding. the story, especially the first half, was hard for me personally to follow as there was a lot of name dropping, history of the family, parts that seem to be repeated, and a general bounce from one thing to the next. I feel sorry for Sarah and all that she has endured and suffered. I give her five stars for coming out and telling her story, because that is not an easy task. it's amazing how the wealthy and famous can be complete monsters allegedly. Still worth a read, especially 2/3 of the way through.

Terrible Narration, biographical

The narrator is the biggest problem. Thick accent, which is OK enough. But the voice pitches from loud to soft violently several times within one sentence. Like they're trying too hard, like passionately read emotional poetry or something. It's unbelievably annoying, and detracts from the gravity of the story. Next problem, first few chapters are just a biography, fine enough but NOT what I came to this book for. Not sure I'll be able to finish itz the narration is so bad.

Shocking

Soul-baring in its honesty, and hard to listen to at times. Parents have such an important role to play on the trajectory of their kids’ lives. This is a multi-generational tragedy with a redemptive end. But how many people were bystanders or complicit in allowing this train wreck to unfold? As a society, we must be better at looking out for each other. God bless the survivors.
