Cute and not super in your face

100% great story.
I appreciate that no one was fetishized and the story had lots of LGBTQIA+ representation. Also loved that the story touched on discrimination JJ faced as an athlete of color in a predominantly white sport while not making it a big focus. Will be reading more from this series/author!

Overall happy

This book was an unexpected find at a local book shop and since I rarely read physical books I was happy to see there was an audiobook. Overall I was really happy to see a book discussing depression, boundaries and honesty of challenges faced being BIPOC or Queer. Would I have loved to see that even more, yes, but I am still overall happy with this read. The one big thing that drove me nuts though is it’s a tattoo machine, not a gun!

a super cute story. they characters felt fresh and not the typical. spicy levels are at around a 🌶🌶 in case that matters. I def cried along with the characters
