Filled with a sense of adventure and national pride, they left their parents' homes wearing their best clothes and confidently waving good-bye. Every story tells of the horrors of war
I am grateful for the balance this author puts into that horror. The love of family, the mutual support and fierce desire to survive where so many could not. Truly a memorable read!
