Publisher's Summary

When Aspen Mesmer asks a complete stranger to kiss her one night in a bar, she never expects to have an immediate connection with the man.

Kane “Brain” Temple knows he isn't the kind of man women look at twice, but when Aspen did just that after their explosive impulsive kiss, he's thrilled.

But even as things between them get serious, someone doesn’t want either to be happy, and is willing to do whatever it takes to break them apart.

Shielding Aspen is the third book in the Delta Team Two Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

Disappointed

I was so looking forward to this book, especially the aspect of a female medic in the army and dealing with a hurricane. Stoker constantly mentioned being a woman in a mans role to the point it became tiresome, which is a disappointment since I firmly support women in all roles of life. It seemed like it was the only goal/achievement of Aspen. But the ending was so depressing! I fast forwarded several times, which I have never done in a new release. I felt discouraged and down when the story ended and was very disappointed in Brain. I won’t listen to this story again.

Loved Brain & Aspen

I really enjoyed Brain and Aspen’s story and I loved that author Susan Stoker writes strong heroines in her books and this one was no different. Aspen shows she is smart, strong and capable of performing her duties in a field where men are mostly prevalent. I enjoyed the connection that Brain and Aspen had and how their relationship developed throughout this book as well as the action packed scenes. Virginia Rose did a fantastic job narrating this book and bring the characters and story to life. I listened to the audiobook all in one day and enjoyed every minute of it. The epilogue already has me anticipating future books in this series.

Another winner don’t miss it

Aspen and Brain

Talk about a first kiss she didn’t know him he didn’t know her but that kiss was a heck of a greeting

The two didn’t know they were both military or that the first kiss wouldn’t be the last. She was dealing with a team that didn’t want or like woman in the military. As a in field medic her efforts should have proven herself. Meeting Brain’s team she knew they were different. So begins a future neither thought possible

I love ask of the authors books and this is another winner

Shielding

I enjoyed the narration of Virginia Rose

Aspen is a combat medic attached to a Ranger team and Kane he is a Delta operative who also happens to be a genius. The chemistry between Aspen and Kane is combustible. Aspen has had too much experience with men doubting her abilities as a combat medic just because she is a woman. In Kane treats her as an equal partner on the battleground and at home,

I enjoyed it

An unfortunately very real problem faced by this heroine and I liked the way the hero and his team show their support. I enjoy these stories that emphasise the true meaning of teamwork.

much better

Well this one was so much better than kinleys story. Aspen has spunk, Sass and strong from the start.
There was some overseas ops which was good to listen to and there are plots Susan has opened for the next few of her stories.
It was mainly homegrown probs and lots of gender bias Themes..which was the basis of the book.
The formulaic plot that Susan uses is awesome but I need a change from time to time, as well as wanting 2 narrator's to listen to, so I'm going to try delta team 3...
