A Bay Ridge Royals/82nd Street Vandals Novella

There’s a war brewing, and I’m right in the middle of it ready to crush anyone who gets in my way…

I was born into this world. Power and wealth are the keys to controlling it, but they aren’t everything. They are a means to an end when it comes to protecting the people I care about.

I’ve known my destiny since I was old enough to sit at the table. Everything in my life has been focused on preparing me for the future. Know your enemies, your allies, and the people in the middle you can buy.

When he first appeared in my life, I had no idea who he was, but I never forgot his pretty face. While it’s been years and I barely recognize him, I can’t get enough. He doesn’t belong in my world and he has no idea how truly dangerous it is.

Turns out, I’ll do anything to save my best friend, cross any line, and destroy him if I have to…

Released previously as part of the Billionaires and Babes anthology for charity. While you do not have to listen to the 82nd Street Vandals to read this novella, it will enhance the experience. This novella takes place during books four and five.

Love this narration crew

I absolutely adore this world heather long has created, and these voices just fit perfectly and bring the world into technicolor. I will never miss a book created by this crew,

Duet narration with sensational voices!

The plot of this book was mostly the other half of the series it was linked to, but so damn good!
All of the narrators were fabulous! I love the duet style as opposed to dual.
Very steamy & fast paced. Read the trigger warnings. Love this book!

Make sure to read the other books in the series!

Simply put- I had NO idea what was going on in this book. The story was all over the place. My mistake for not reading the fine print (it is a novella that takes place between books 4 and 5 of the 82nd Street Vandals series. Of which I didn't read.) They say it can be read independently but I wouldn't recommend it. This is my first book by this author. Apparently there is this girl, who is supposedly missing, but we don't know who she is, why she's missing, what she does, or how any of these characters interact until about halfway thru the book (this is when I threw in the towel.) I couldn't keep track of names- the missing girl was born with one name, that no one calls her, then there's a stage name (once again, we don't know what she does that warrants a stage name.) Then there is the MFC who starts out with one name, and halfway through the MMC starts calling her Mayhem. Why? Who knows. The reader doesn't know either and you have to double check that you are still reading the same story. The story travels back and forth between past and present with little warning or transition (as if it wasn't confusing enough.) And before you go thinking I'm a total idiot (some days I am!) I have over 1,100 audibles in my library and rarely write a review, but I just couldn't keep my mouth quiet on this one. If nothing else but to warn others to do their homework (I didn't). I DNF and returned my first book to Audible in over a year. Good luck!!!
