While it is not necessary to listen to all the series, in order to avoid spoilers the ideal listening order of the Adept Universe begins with Cupcakes, Trinkets, and Other Deadly Magic (Dowser, Book 1).

Love this author and her series! Narrator is excellent!

This is a great paranormal series that keeps you interested to the point you want to bone listen! The narrator does a great job of keeping the character's voices different and her tone and cadence are excellent!

The change of narrator really threw me

The first 3 I purchased a few months ago. I bought the next 2 recently. I found it jarring going from one narrator to another between books 3 and 4. I had problems making it through 4 and actually turned it off and went to reading it on my kindle, then finished it on audible.
I was looking forward to finishing the collection, but now I’m hesitant. I was pulled out of the story a number of times by the occasionally flat narration . Maybe if I’d started with this narrator?
The story is fine, I already owned the book, so no surprises there., I have the next book to get through to see if I can adjust.
