Classic Shadowrun story by a fantastic writer

Solid performances and gripping story. I was glad to see work from Findley on audible

The best shadowrun book ever. Been waiting on this one

I own 5 copies of this novel, in varying conditions. I pick up copies of it whenever I come across one. Hopefully they will do the whole dirk Montgomery series. The only change I would make to this would be Michael Biehn doing the males voice work. But this VA does a great job. And the original art cover would be better than the one that’s pictured.

Still the best Shadowrun novel ever.

The dual narrators, coupled with Nigel Findley's writing makes this the best catalyst audio book yet. 100% chip truth chummers. Wakarimasu ka!?

Been waiting an exceptionally long time for this one. There are many excellent authors in the realm of Shadowrun. There is only one Nigel Findley, and his works are (to me) the definitive Shadowrun. I thoroughly enjoyed this reading, and now waiting patiently for the next

My Fav Shadowrun Novel! Highly Recommended!

While FASA's Battletech catalog of novels run towards a more Young Adult type lvl of writing, Shadowrun is definitively good ol' Pulp Adventure.

'Dirty Dirk' even inspired my groups famously-infamous Physical Adept player character. [I went a bit of a Looney-Tunes direction with him but Dirk was definitely in there.]

The cast of main characters is engaging & 'real'. The Baddies are decidedly bad, but no mustache twirling or over the top-ness'ing.

The plot is intricate but unfolds organically without red herrings, cheap tricks & contrivances.

& they avoid my biggest pet peeve in Audiobooks, trying to force a [suitably] gruff Narrator to do female voices. A quality 1-2 punch of Male & Female Narrators was very much appreciated & very well done!

In all Dirk is the Everyman of the Shadowrun-verse & refreshingly isn't a Plot Armor'd Mary-Sue!
