Publisher's Summary

Carlina Perez is in way over her head. Unexpectedly jobless and fostering an exotic pet with an insatiable appetite, this pastry chef needs a new gig faster than she can whip up a batch of scones. But when she's tapped to serve as the personal chef to a haughty tabloid regular, she only considers the job out of sheer desperation. After all, Giorgio Acardi may be filthy rich and intoxicatingly handsome, but he's also a first class scoundrel.

Giorgio Acardi has it all: money, fame, an endless string of beautiful companions, and the respect of his colleagues and rivals. From the outside looking in, his life is perfect. So perfect, in fact, that he's even got his eye on a new personal chef. She's talented and gorgeous, and it shouldn't make a difference whether she hates him or not as long as she does the job. But there's something about Carlina that Giorgio just can't resist, and he hasn't enjoyed success by backing down from a challenge.

Heartwarming story...not your typical romance!

Giorgio and Carlina are just perfect! Carlina is strong, hardworking and independent. She develops a special friendship with Giorgio's brother Antonio who has down syndrome. Loved the story and I really enjoyed the narration. There were several cameos from some of your favorite characters: Aubrey and Chance(Cocky Bastard), Simon (British Bedmate), Graham Morgan(Stuck Up Suit), Dexter Truit (Mister Moneybags). A definite must listen!!!

no no no

I couldn't finish it. So your girlfriend isn't exactly "vanilla" when it comes to sex but the first time you see the heroine, you think of nothing but BDSM... the floggers, ties, whips and whatever. Nope. Very annoying.

Very Good

Strong female, one sweet man, one alpha-ish man, and a lion all walk into a bar. Good story except for Gio acting like a wuss around his aunt at the end. A real alpha would’ve dealt with her in one blow. Other than that good story.

Wonderful story!

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to for this book. I loved it so much! Their story is great and I love the little twists and turns the author threw in. One of my favorite hero club books!

Carlie and Gio

I loved most of this book but to be honest the last 5 to 7 chapters loss me in translation. It felt like maybe the story was edited and some parts like the a bad telenovela ending. I would have like it if they had gotten together when tragedy hit and Gio really needed Carlie’s support. I was so in love with the story and then it was ruined at the end completely for me.
On a positive note: Loved having Aubrey and Change back in the story and loved the diverse cast!!

Fun story and a fast listen!

Fun story with a medium amount of angst and crazy characters. The lion rocks and there were some touching moments along with explicit moments in the story.

Different in good ways.

A huge hearted chef with an amazing zoo type farm of adopted or fostered animals. A jerk of a businessman who at least cares for his soft hearted down syndrome brother, but has no idea how to help him succeed. Enter said chef and her toothless, declawed favorite celebrity retired TV lion and you have this sweet endearing story. I really love the heroine as I really relate to stubborn independant women who don't take shit from anybody. This woman was strong and didn't let the hero walk all over her. I hate doormats. This story did not disappoint as so many have. I found the narration to be enjoyable and her ability to express proper emotion even when tackling a young gentleman with down syndrome to be relatable and endearing. I highly recommend both the book and the narrator.
