What causes a child to grow up gay or straight? In this book, neuroscientist Simon LeVay summarizes a wealth of scientific evidence that points to one inescapable conclusion: Sexual orientation results primarily from an interaction between genes, sex hormones, and the cells of the developing body and brain. LeVay helped create this field in 1991 with a much-publicized study in Science, where he reported on a difference in the brain structure between gay and straight men. Since then, an entire scientific discipline has sprung up around the quest for a biological explanation of sexual orientation. LeVay also reports on the prevalence of homosexual behavior among wild animals, ranging from Graylag geese to the Bonobo chimpanzee.

Eye Opening Book into Gender Comm. Diff.!
This book captured my attention from the beginning until the end. It brought attention to an overlooked area of relationship communication, which is biological influences. The material is presented in an easy-to-understand manner. I was able to personally relate to the information throughout.
In each chapter, gender communication differences are first presented. Then biological explanations for these differences are covered in detail. Lastly, the chapter ends with how each reader can use this information to understand others better and communicate more effectively.

Hearing Gender Communication Differences
The "Sex Talk" audiobook is produced with high quality. Namely, the narration engages the listener throughout the book and, ultimately, maintains their attention. Listening to the narrator explain the biological reasons for the communication differences between males and females allowed me to better visualize the findings and realize how relatable these topics are to my personal life.
