Seriously?: 102 poems from an agitated stateThe opening to this 50 minutes collection of poems is quite apparent in what she is about to do. She has written a poem about everyone who has ever "done wrong" to her [perceived or real.]
The summary claims this is a collection of things not to say. Unless it is tongue-in-cheek I feel very badly that the author has had these experiences. It seems she cannot get along with anyone.
I didn't find any humor in it and I'm pretty easily amused. It was just over an hour of - whining isn't the right word – grumbling about people from her past.
If this is her existence or even if she has risen above what these poems portray, I would say she is seriously unfortunate and perhaps should look within.
Each poem was melodious and easily this is not the art of a great genius… I am not a poetry's a snob, however I am certain that I could come up with 102 poems about people I know that would sound very much like these but with some agitation and some happiness.
The narrator, Barbara Colton did a good job, though the material didn't seem to be especially challenging. I will look for other work by her but not the author.
*I was given a copy of this book to listen to in exchange for my opinion, thoughts and this review.*
Notes: There may have been at cuss word or two, nothing to speak of
Credit worthy/$: Not for me not anytime not anyway. It is just over an hour long and at this writing $6.95
