Very Insightful Book

I appreciated that this book led you gently through a relatively simple concept that is sometimes very difficult to understand. This book helped me realize how important and reachable self compassion is. It offers concrete ways to live a meaningful life, and how to overcome our vicissitudes. I think this is life-changing research and information. Very good job!

Insightful Listen!

Typically I do not listen to many self-help books, but I found this one to be very insightful. Self-compassion is an area that I hadn't thought much of in the past, yet I will view it differently from now on. The narration in this book is straightforward and fitting of the subject matter. One does not want a dramatic narration for a self-help book. I would definitely listen to more books by these authors and narrator. The book is full of common sense and some very good points.

Good

An interesting listen if you get the chance to listen to an audible version. It had helpful tips that can actually help and makes a lot of sense. The
narrators voice is good and not overpowering or sweet for that matter. it’s also a short listen, so when you get a chance check it out and enjoy.

Self Discovery and Emotional Health

A self development audio that serves as a guide for those individuals that tend to neglect themselves physically, emotionally, or spiritually. Provides valuable insight to those who are “people pleasers,” afraid of conflict, feel rejected, or having a low sense of worth. Good discussion including the various types of individuals who become mentally or spiritually drained in relationships and allows for insightful strategies in recovery. Not just a “self help” audio, but also an exploration into discovering and assessing personal behaviors that reflect the need to love and appreciate ones personal needs and attributes. Utilizes a systematic, scientific approach with clear examples that illustrate key concepts. Anyone can benefit from listening to this audio.
