Publisher's Summary

When Hell refuses to freeze over.

Thea Bauer has earned her way to being a highly skilled member of the Coven. Ranked as a Spellweaver, she’s assigned the more dangerous missions. Corralling a herd of wild unicorns? No problem. Taking down a witch riding the high of black magic? Piece of cake. Finding out why magic-based creatures are suddenly flooding the local sanctuary, protected by a powerful sorceress with a hatred for the Coven? Thea might need more than her tethered demonic partner to see this mission through.

She calls upon Summoner Rafe MacBain, a trusted colleague she’s known for years whose dreamy eyes might keep her up at night - but she’s not admitting that to anyone. He’s got his own demonic companion, and altogether they’re a force to be reckoned with. But, even with their combined strength, it might not be enough against feral demons escaping some of the farthest reaches of Hell.

As if that weren’t bad enough, Thea must conquer her own demons residing within herself that conjure up a painful past. Will she be able to overcome herself, or will the memories she’s tried to stray from keep her from fighting enemies in the physical realm? Thea is starting to wonder if the sorceress may be one of those enemies too. What secret is she hiding at the bottom of the sanctuary, and how will it affect everything Thea has come to know?

Good Story!💜

I enjoyed this story. It was fun, mysterious and magical. The narration was very good.
This is book 2 in this continuing series and should be read/listened in order.
I recommend this book/series.

Five out of Five Stars!

This is the second book in the Coven Chronicles series, written by the writing duo Octavia J. Riley and Nia Rose. Both books are narrated by Alex Goodman, who has proven to be the perfect narrator for such a story full of magical creatures and vivid characters.

Octavia J. Riley has written a wonderful, unique, and thrilling entry to the Coven Chronicle series. Thea is a compelling main character surrounded by an interesting ensemble of magical creatures and magic users. Every piece of dialogue written by Riley was fascinating and humorous. I was equal parts amused and enthralled, especially when introducing new creatures to the lore.

I greatly enjoyed this book, and am excited to see the next entry to this wonderful series!

Good story, look forward to more of this world...

Secrets of the Sanctuary (Coven Chronicles, Book 2) by Octavia J. Riley and narrated by Alex Goodman is a world I want more of. Recommend if you enjoy fantasy with magic elements. I was not familiar with this series and had no problem jumping into the new world. The narrator, Alex Goodman, did a good job. I’d listen to another narration by him. I recommend as it has good world building, characters, and is overall a good listen.

Things are heating up!

Welp, with Book Two now officially in the... books... I’m just getting more and more nervous for this world. In the best way that a reader/listener can! I continue to enjoy the world they’re creating and I can see them building something rich and deep with every new book. The narrator has outdone himself, too, giving fantastic life to a whole new cast, with one or two familiar folks from Book One. I’m excited for the third and can’t wait to see how Hell and the Coven dance dangerously with each other next!

Brilliant

That was brilliant, the whole story is so very entertaining, I love the characters, the magic, the twists and plots!
I was a little sad that bowbow wasn’t in it, but I understand why, I liked the way it related to the last book while telling a new story.
I enjoyed the fact that they have a sanctuary, and a powerful sorceress to run it! I felt so sorry for the wood ninph, her story was so sad, bless her.
The narration was excellent.
I would highly recommend this book.

Another hit!!

At first I was a little disappointed that I was following a new set for characters mainly because I was looking forward to Nia Roses's Bobo. However that was quickly pushed aside when this new group began their adventure. I cant say too much without spoilers but I loved the rooms in the sanctuary and very much enjoyed the trip to the dark market. Octavia has done a great job of recapturing the world of the coven chronicles , I can only hope all of our characters get to work together at some point. full Mark's all around, this is quickly becoming my favourite fantasy series ever.
