Publisher's Summary

It was supposed to be a one-time thing, but I failed to divulge one little detail.

I was a virgin.

Bishop Bohanan was my first.

Now he’s demanding to be my one and only.

And he won’t take no for an answer.

Author’s Note: Secret Sin is a 25,000 word Byrne Brothers novella meant to be listened to after Silent Vows, in which the Secret Sin characters first appear. It is a dark romance with adult themes and may not be suitable for sensitive audiences. But if you’d enjoy a filthy-mouthed Irish mobster going up against a headstrong Italian heroine, this spicy mafia romance complete with a happily ever after will hit the spot! (You know the one.)

Nice Story

It was fun watching Pippa and Bishop interact. Watch their explosive chemistry. See how long it takes Pippa to realize she only wants Bishop. And wonder how many more ways Bishop can annoy Pippa while trying to convince her to give him a chance.

Perfection!

I didn’t realize how much I wanted to joke about what happened with Pippa and Bishop. This was so damn good. I need Jill to never stop writing this series. The narrators was great as well. Michelle Sparks had Pippa’s voice on point! Gabriel Spires didn’t have to do Bishop so good. So disrespectful lol! Disrespectfully good!

Secret Sin (The Byrne Brothers)

Things I loved about Secret Sin …

I was engaged and invested from the very beginning by Michelle Sparks & Gabriel Spiers’ narration. It was a first for me for both these narrators and I’m really glad they worked well together to make my listening experience fantastic!

It’s a novella so you know there has to be some getting to the point with the couple, that being said, one would think it would read insta but it doesn’t! Yes, Bishop and Pippa have sizzle from the very beginning but as much as it is fire, it is also understated and not over the top. I might have just talked myself around the point I was trying to make (lol) but basically, they sparked from page one but weren’t written as such and that was unique and refreshing and made their relationship more believable to me.

The way the virgin aspect of the story was written was also refreshing and gave me all the goosebumps for Bishop. I mean my heart aflutter people!

This story could stand completely on its own (apart from the series) but yet it also enhanced the overall storyline arc of the Byrne Brothers.

I am loving this world and can’t wait to jump back in soon!

Loved From Start To Finish, Left Wanting More

I’m a lover of audiobooks. Ms. Sparks and Mr. Spires helped to bring our author’s characters to life. They are also new to me. It was great listening to people that I’d never heard before.

Ms. Sparks does a great job helping me get to know Pippa in a way that I couldn’t by reading her in a book. She does an exceptional job when she has to change her voice to convey what Bishop was feeling from Pippa’s point of view. Mr. Spires showed me why I need to expand my list of go to narrators. He helped me hear the frustration in Bishop’s voice when I couldn’t do that myself. He has a deep voice, and I loved the fact that he didn’t attempt a high-pitched voice when it came to speaking for a female character.

If you want to take your enjoyment of a book, or series, see if an audio version is available. One good thing about an audiobook is that you can get work done while still getting your story fix. The audio version also makes a commute, or even shopping trip, more pleasurable. And loving the series in the first place is just icing on the cake. In this case, having both versions takes me to my happy place.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Enjoyed it

Secret Sin is an age-gap/ mafia romance novella in the Byrne Brothers series, that held my interest until the end. It was a seductive tale that was fast paced with charismatic characters you will be rooting for in no time.

This is Pippa and Bishop's story and I loved these to together. The chemistry and connection was incredible and I loved Bishop's alpha vibes in the story. It was interesting seeing how their relationship evolved as Bishop fell first and wanted her while she was fiercely independent and did not want to be tied down. Their push and pull made for some entertaining reading. I enjoyed this novella and would highly recommend it.

I listened to the audiobook version of this story which as narrated by Gabriel Spires and Michelle Sparks. These two did a great job portraying these characters. They gave each character their on voice and emotion and really brought the story to life. It was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

Intense and Passionate!

This short novella is part of The Byrne Brothers Series, a Mafia Romance. Pippa and Bishop's story is intense, and passionate. Pippa is beautiful, smart, and independent. Bishop is handsome, and protective. Their story is well written, engaging, and captivating. I enjoyed it. I can't wait for Corrupted Union, the next book in the series. Great narration from Michelle Sparks and Gabriel Spires. #TheNextStepPR

Pippa and Bishop

Secret Sin should be read after Silent Vows but honestly, it stands alone pretty well. We met both Bishop and Pippa in Silent Vows, Pippa is Noemi's cousin and Bishop is a part of Connor's organization, so they are familiar with each other. When the two of them have a spicy encounter Pippa is down for a one night stand but when Bishop discovers she was a virgin he decides that he will be her one and only. I love the two of them together Pippa is fun and saucy, Bishop is over the top protective and possessive which makes their interactions fun and hot.

Beautifully written and executed story!!!

Secret Sin, an Audiobook by Jill Ramsower is the story of Bishop and Pippa. They see each other at an event and already know of each other, briefly. They have a night….and he wants more. She…..ummm….not so much. He actively pursues her. But, she has a intensive need to gain her independence…and a possessive guy like Bishop doesn’t lend itself well to that outcome.

This story was a short, quick read….but, seemed to cover everything for these two!!! I loved the atmosphere surrounding them, and the way she desperately tries NOT to feel anything for him. Her need to be free to be an independent individual, even though she is drawn to him….kept me hooked!

This Audiobook was beautifully narrated by Michelle Sparks and Gabrielle Spires. They seamlessly captured the nuances of the characters and kept me invested in the story!!

I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this Audiobook.

The Mobster and the Mafia Princess

A fantastic mafia novella featuring characters introduced in Silent Vows. I loved the hint of a Pippa and Bishop pairing we got there and my only disappointment would be that Secret Sin was so short. Still Jill Ramsower manages to pack a lot into this short book as Bishop, a hardheaded Irish mobster tries to woo the hot headed and stubborn mafia princess that is Pippa and persuade her that they are made for each other when all she wants is her independence and he was only supposed to be a one night stand. With plenty of spice and chemistry this was a quick, fun read.

Michelle Sparks and Gabriel Spire did a fantastic job with the narration of this audiobook. Gabriel especially was great at voicing Bishop’s frustration with Pippa’s stubbornness. I would have no hesitation in listening to either of these narrators in the future.

Pippa & Bishop!

After listening to Silver Vows, I was so excited to see Pippa and Bishop getting their own story! Pippa is a spitfire. Looking for her independence and making a quick decision, she finds herself involved with Bishop. But is it more than she bargained for? She is looking for the quick, one night and now he is expecting more. Will this Italian mafia princess figure out that the Irish mobster is all about? Quick, spicy and fun, this book flew by! I love Pippa and all her attitude! Bishop is swoony, and so protective, what is not to love? I enjoyed this novella and can't wait for more of this series!

Michelle Sparks and Gabriel Spires deliver a fantastic push pull romance! Sparks has Pippa with all her independent attitude, snarky and still young! Spires is charming as he voices Bishop, giving that feeling of his protective shield around Pippa. It's a great combination and wonderful telling of the story.

A really enjoyable short little novella.

Bishop and Pippa sizzled up the pages of this book. Their banter was funny and kept me wanting more. Bishop was a dirty talker and that made the draw between the two sizzling. Great narration only added to the characters chemistry.
