Duel POV Mafia

I liked the story, however the delivery was not my favorite. If you like Mafia stories I think you'll enjoy this one as well.

Strong MCs

So this was a cute story, obviously mafia themed but still the way the MMC falls for his “surprise “ was adorable. I however struggled with the narrators. The female was way to extra, and the male wasn’t terrible but was lackluster. I think I’d enjoy this more read as a regular book, as some audio will make or break a book. But I did x1.5 it so it made it a bit better. This was a fast pace book, so get ready for a wild ride.

thrilling

This is Angelo and Catarina's story. It is a very captivating and thrilling page turning read. They have a one night stand turned forced marriage mafia romance. I loved the intensity and chemistry between this couple. I couldn't put this page turning read down. I enjoyed that narration made the story all the more thrilling and captivating.

Angelo and Catarina and Chelsey. They have an amazing night together. She finds out who he is. She finds out shes pregnant. She does go to clubs to try and find him but doesnt go to any trouble in finding him. 4yrs later he sees her at a club and he knows there is something there but doesnt remember her. She sees him kill someone. He forces her to marry him. They go get her stuff and pu Chelsey. When he sees her he knows and is furious. She wants out she doesnt want the mafia life. I truelly enjoyed this story. Its a soft mafia story. The audible is ok for a soft mafia story.

One Night Stand

Angelo Bianchi and Catarina have a one-night stand and Angelo being the man w*ore he is, does not remember her when they run into each other a few years later. Once he does remember who she is, he knows that he wants her. But when she runs away from him and then watches as he kills someone, she has no other choice but to marry him to stay safe. It is the only way.

There is a lot of back and forth between Angelo and Catarina – they are both selfish people, except when it comes to their daughter. When Angelo finds out that he does in fact has a daughter, he is very mad at Catarina and refuses to be without his daughter again. Angelo is a good father and he is trying with Catarina, but Catarina just wants out of the life and wants to be able to give her daughter a safer life. It is very hard for Catarina to accept Angelo for who he is, regardless of the fact he never gives up on her. Not a fan of Catarina, but Angelo got me the moment he met his daughter and connected with her.

Eventually, Angelo lets go of his anger and resentment towards Catarina, and he starts to understand that he wants a future with both of his girls. However, Catarina desperately wants to get away from the mafia life, but is Angelo willing to give it up to be with them?

This book is part of the Alpha Mafia Daddies series, a Forced Marriage Romance. Angelo and Catarina's story is entertaining, and passionate. The little girl is adorable. Okay Story, Not Great Narration

Since this is an audiobook, I am thinking that my "problems" with it may be related to the tediousness of the narration, but I'm not positive. The book is okay, but I don't think it's great. I loved the premise of the story, but the execution is lackluster; it's quite repetitive of the same conversations, internal monologues, decisions, and ideas and that too is incredibly tedious. It feels like I had to trudge through the story, rather than being interested or invested in it. BUT it's possible that that's because the narration just isn't really good, IMO. The male did a decent job, but his female inflections were weird and disconcerting. The female narrator was shrill and overly dramatic with the way she delivered the lines, which was frustrating and made me not want to continue, so it's possible I'd have given the story a higher rating if not for the narration, but I'm not positive.

I love this book. I loved the narration. It was so well done. I highly recommend this book.

Secret Mafia Daddy

Secret Mafia Daddy by Kira Cole is my first read by this author but definitely won't be the last I read of her. This novel is full of emotion, steamy scenes and lets not forget about the drama that Catarina and Angelo keep finding at every corner.
