Publisher's summary

Jenna Ward is vivacious, spontaneous, and confident - except when she's around the man who stole her heart years earlier, strikingly handsome, quiet, and reliable Pete Lacroux. After years of trying to get his attention and overwhelmed from dealing with her mother's new cougar lifestyle, Jenna's giving up on Peter - and is ready to explore other men.

As the eldest of five siblings, with an alcoholic father to care for, boat craftsman Pete Lacroux always does the right thing and has no time for a real relationship. He's looking forward to seeing his friend Jenna, a welcome distraction who's so damn sexy and so painfully shy that she equally entertains and confuses him.

When Jenna picks up a hard-bodied construction worker, jealousy ignites Pete's true feelings, and he's powerless to ignore the desires for Jenna he never realized he had. But Pete's not the quiet guy he appears to be, and his life is anything but conducive to a relationship. Can Jenna handle the real Pete Lacroux - the sexiest, most passionate alpha male she's ever seen - or will she crack under pressure? And can Pete reclaim the life he once had without tearing apart his family? This contemporary romance series features alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They're flawed, funny, passionate, and relatable to listeners who enjoy new adult romance, contemporary romance, and women's fiction. While each book may be listened to as a standalone, you might enjoy listening to the entire Love in Bloom series.

Great Story

Seaside Hearts was a great story. B.J. Harrison was the narrator and he does a great job being the voice of this story. In this story we get to meet Jenna Ward and Pete Lacroux. Jenna and Pete have known each other for a long time. Jenna has a serious crush on Pete and Pete is unsure and feels he needs someone who is more sure of herself since she gets tongue tied around him. But jealously has a way of bringing to light their true feelings. Can they make it work and just give into their feelings already? They have amazing chemistry. I love their story very much.

Seaside Hearts

I loved the character, Pete. Though he played a minor part in earlier episodes, I was anxiously awaiting his and Jenna's happily ever after.

Another Amazing story by Melissa Foster

Jenna was in love with Pete for the longest time. Every time Jenna was near Pete she lost all her ability to speak so Pete did not know Jenna lusted after him. Jenna got discussed one day and asked out a construction worker right in from of Pete. That is when everything changed. I listed to the audio version of Seaside Hearts. I just love the narration of BJ Harrison. His voice makes my ride home from work enjoyable.

Pete & Jenna, friends to lovers

I listened to the audiobook as well as read the Kindle edition.

Super sweet and sexy Jenna Ward has been in love with local handyman, uber hunk and friend Pete LaCroux for what seems like forever. For as friendly and outgoing as Jenna is, she's completely tongue-tied around Pete.

Pete has secretly harbored similar feelings for Jenna, but whenever he's close to her she doesn't appear interested. This unfortunately makes Pete think she's not interested in him as anything more than a friend. He also has some big family issues that stop him from having someone permanent in his life.

This summer Jenna finally admits defeat and gives up on Pete. If he isn't interested in her, she's going to finally move on. Determined to prove to herself she can get a man Jenna picks up a construction worker while Pete stews watching.

Is this the wake-up call Pete needed? Can he solve his family issues so he can start living his own life with the woman he loves? Will Jenna resolve her own family issues?

This friends to lovers story is decidedly full of heart with heat. You'll love to revisit the Seaside Girls and listen to Pete and Jenna find their way to their own happily ever after.

As always Melissa Foster does a wonderful job of weaving the story with just the right amount of love, romance and passion with a dash of angst. B.J. Harrison once again does justice to the story and brings these amazing characters to life. You won't be disappointed!

Wonderful!

This is a heartfelt story and well written. B. J. Harrison brought the audiobook to life with feeling.
Jenna was having a problem with her mother. Jenna thought she was making a fool of herself. Jenna had been lusting after Pete forever. She could talk to anyone about anything, except with Pete. She would just clam up and freeze. Pete restored boats for a living and he had maintained the pools in the summer for the Seaside cottages. He had to watch after his father because he had become an alcoholic after Pete's mother died. Jenna had OCD. Would she be to organized for Pete?

Love Pete and Jenna

Jenna Ward is a fun loving, confident woman until she's around the guy she's been crushing on forever, Pete Lacroux. Pete's life is busy, between taking care of his alcoholic father, worrying about his siblings and his job, he doesn't have time for a relationship of his own. He loves being around the "Seaside Girls" and spending time with them, even though Jenna confuses the heck out of him. Jenna decides to give up on Pete and ask another guy out. When Pete finds out, his true feelings surface, ones he didn't even know he had. You can't help but love Jenna and Pete. Who knew laid back Pete Lacroux would turn into such an alpha male once he realized his true feelings. I definitely recommend giving this series a try!

B.J. Harrison makes Melissa Foster’s books come to life, I love listentening to him narrate her stories.

great book

Jenna Ward has been in love with Pete Lacroux forever. She can't seem to find her voice when she around him. Of course he doesn't know she likes him. This summer she has decided to forget Pete and move on with a construction worker she hits on right in front of Pete. That definitely opened Pete's eyes. This is another great read by Melissa Foster. BJ Harrison did an amazing job with narration.

Jenna and Pete ❤️

Jenna and Pete ❤️
Jenna has wanted Pete for a long time and figured Pete didn’t want her.  She decided that she was going to go after one of the construction workers on the Cape.  Once she did that, Pete took notice and wondered how she could talk to that guy but always went quiet when she tried to talk to him.  As Jenna starts to date this new guy, Pete realizes that he needs to be with her and starts to try and be with her, and this starts the beginning of their relationship.  They both have some things to deal with, but it’s a fun, steamy ride for them.  I loved that you see all their friends again along with Caden and Bella.  It was a great story and great narration by BJ.  I can’t wait to listen to the next book.

Awesome!!!

Jenna loves Pete and he's oblivious to her until she decides to move on. I so enjoy a love story where the main characters know each other for years. Slow burn relationships have such a solid basis in my opinion. Melissa Foster writes incredible imagery in this book and added humor. I love the seaside friends, their escapades, and the heat. The narration by BJ Harrison is so well done. He adds the right emotions to his performance. This book is a standalone listen and part of a series.

Meet my new friends Jenna, Bella, Amy, and Leanna.

Once again BJ Harrison is perfect. He is able to take the emotions of each character and share them with the listener. BJ pulls the listener into the story and makes us forget time. There were so many times I was lost in his voice and the story that I didn't realize how long I had been listening.

. Seaside Hearts has my favorite characters so far reoccurring. Jenna, Bella, Amy, and Leanna are still at The Cape this summer, like every summer for so long. They are still watching the men, although two of the ladies are attached to men. Jenna and Amy are still hoping to find what Leanna and Bella have found. These ladies are exactly what best friends should be. They finish each other’s sentences, laugh at private jokes, read each other minds with just a look, and know when the others are falling in love. I am so envious of the relationship’s in this book, both their man/woman relationships and their friendships. It is exactly what every person should have in their lives.

Now onto the fun part….hot and steamy scenes happen often and Melissa Foster knows how to write it. They are hot, steamy, sexy and so fun to read, but don’t cross that line where it is too much. They are written to show the love and respect in the relationship and are never taken lightly. The heart and love between Jenna and Pete is so evident in each interaction, whether in the bedroom or on the beach, that I could not hope but wish for the best for them.

I highly recommend this entire series. I cannot wait for more from Melissa Foster. She is an author that always comes through and I know will continue to do so.
