For once no one wants to kill Samantha Martin. She's free to do all the things a mischievous imp loves to do- like remove all the county speed limit signs, and wrap City Hall in crime scene tape. Her only worry beyond organizing the delivery of her boyfriend's birthday present, is writing those pesky four nine five reports for the Ruling Council of Angels. But imps can never stay out of trouble for long. Demon corpses have been found drained of all energy, their spirit selves ripped clean from their bodies. Sam's angel, Gregory, considers her a prime suspect, so when an angel is discovered dead in the same manner, he drags her to Seattle and Juneau to try to clear her name. The race is on to find the murderer before Sam's secret is exposed and she's blamed for the deaths. But is a devouring spirit really the killer, or is there more to the deaths than either Sam or Gregory suspect?

Some series gets better with each book and this series is one of them. I can't wait to read the next book. Sam grows with each series which is good in my opinion, but I still like to see the bit of the devil she shows to harasse people and angels. It is good to see all the side characters too. I see that the author has written a spin off series about Amelia the half demon, half elf girl. I would be happy to see Amazon get this on audio too. The only thing I don't like about this series is the narrator she reads it too slow in which case I put my player on fast and that works for me.

Series getting better with each book.

OH MY GOD. What a great book. He'll great series MS Dundar has written a book with great characters suspenseful, funny. And mystery. I even got tears in my eyes on this one And to think i almost didn't read book 1 , for some reason I was having a hard time getting into it now all I have to say is don't hesitate. I also recommend the audio version MS Ryan has become one of my favorite narrators. She has brought Sam and each and every character to life. I can't think of a better voice for this series. Don't start here get book 1 and dig in or i should say pop in some way buds.

I realized that I never added my reviews to Audible for this series so I am correcting that now.

Book 4 is fantastic. The big action scenes had me up and pacing the house while I read. I'm so in love with Sam and Gregory together. I really hope the future books bring more permanence for them together. The ending is semi abrupt but I know it will pick right back up in book 5. I think I might need a bit of a break though before I continue this series. I recommend this series to anyone who loves fantasy and urban fantasy. It's a fun read.
I wasn't fond of how the narrator read in the first 3 books, but she did a good job with this book. I recommend it.

Really enjoyed this book and series so far! Although wanting Samantha to kick some ass, who needs some angel guy to help her?!

Great story, and great new series!
