Publisher's Summary

One trip down the stairs, caused by a lone Lego, while wrapped in a towel, spewing a plethora of profanities, and my cell phone went flying.

I landed on my ass, and then the ER.

Between those two occurrences was a FaceTime call, placed by a bouncing phone, to the number of a man I didn’t even truly look at, who had now seen more of my body than anyone had since my Tinder days, over a year ago.

Three declined calls later, I limped out the door to get myself to the ER before starting my hectic day.

The ER was packed, but when I saw Nurse Bridget, one of my students’ mothers, I pleaded my case, and she hurried me into an examination room.

An hour later, I left on crutches with a bruised ass, a fractured ankle, and an appointment to see an orthopedic surgeon at four p.m.

Arriving 15 minutes late for that appointment, I heard the sexy yet very brash accent of a man who clearly had an obsession with punctuality and had, apparently, no bedside manner. Dr. Ethan Stewart, tall, copper-haired, sinfully sexy...was a total ass.

After a tongue-lashing about how irresponsible I was to, first, leave the ER with such an injury, and second, be late, I put him in his place...or so I thought.

Turned off by his arrogant attitude, turned on by the roguish glint in his green eyes and the way he spoke, I left his office a hot...and wet mess.

Upon exiting, my phone rang again. It was the same number from before, and I couldn’t help answering to give the caller a piece of my mind.

Once in my car, I hung up, tossed my phone on the passenger seat, and then looked out the window to see him with his phone to his ear and a grin spread across his far too handsome face. It couldn’t be.... Could it?

Second Time is Even Better!!

I love this story! I just finished it for the second time & caught things I missed first time around. Elizabeth & Ethan were hilarious. I really enjoyed the way the story was told, the loveable characters, & the great narration. This was my favorite Hero Club audiobook to date!!

Okay

You don’t need to read the first book but if you want to....
The first book that started the “Hero Club Series” Soraya and Graham’s story Is “Stuck-Up Suit” by ViKeeland and Penelope Ward it took me forever to figure it out.

Cute Story

This could easily have been my sister who is obsessed with Jamie Fraser and outlander as well. cute story. lots of time skips, especially in the end. some things just didn't seem to flow for me.

Wasn't a huge fan of Grace's Scottish impression but it got better/more tolerable. and I'm not a fan of the Days versus chapters set up. For some reason, my new phone is playing the book even when my car radio is on mute and the app is closed, so I need to change the settings. but the book finished and it was difficult to locate where I last listened.

Quick, entertaining & surprisingly sweet

For lovers of Jamie Fraser and sexy accents. While definitely nsfw, this romance was surprisingly sweet and the hero surprisingly vulnerable. It was a quick, entertaining read with great narration.

LOL must read

I loved this book from beginning to end. I identified well with her love of the Outlander. I loved the fireworks and sass. The plot twists just add to the pitter patter that makes this a great read. This will be reread many times when I need to banish stress.

I need to give more stars!!!!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVED this book! I busted out laughing so many times that my husband came checking on me. Lizzy is so relatable. We've all been there except maybe for meeting the hot Scottish god!
Grace Grant did a great job with the narration. There was never a confusion about who was talking. Will Watt....lets just say if I could listen to him ALL DAY LONG... I would!
I have been a die-hard Outlander fan for 15+ years. I thoroughly enjoyed the references because well, I have wanted Jamie forever. I am keeping this book in my library.

So good!

I just loved this audiobook, it had me laughing, ready to cry, and loving every word. The dynamics, banter and chemistry between Ethan and Lizzie really made this audiobook amazing. Dr. Ethan Stewart and Elizabeth had one heck of a first time meeting that was lol funny and completely chance. The pair had chemistry from the start that burned up the pages of this story. Both having issues with love and relationships, add some grief and a sweet little girl and you have one heck of a story. Ethan is a swoon worthy alpha male that has a tender side to die for for the ones that he cares and loves. Elizabeth is a fierce yet strong woman who is working to get her life back in order. Add in some friends that want the best for the pair and you get one fantastic story.

Humorous and Dramatic

4
I enjoyed listening to this romance between Ethan and Elizabeth. The storyline was different, with humor and drama complimenting each other throughout the book. I didn’t like that Ethan almost always called her by her full name or her proper name (Ms. Bluhm) it didn’t feel right for their characters or time period, it felt more like it was being forced.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the female narrator, her same gender characters hard to tell apart and her Scottish was a bit over the top. The male narrator I thought was good, minus some of his female voices.
Overall I enjoyed this audio and would recommend it.
