Cocky picture and Feisty Lady!

I love a good sports romance story and I enjoyed this one. I have never read anything by this author and was pleasantly surprised. I loved that Gage was such a great dad and put his daughter needs above all. I also loved his co-parenting approach. Outside of his love for his daughter he is a playboy and not looking to settle down. Then there is Nina she is stubborn, determined, and feisty. I loved how determined Nina was not afraid to speak her mind. I loved the friendships throughout the book. I loved the push and pull between Gage and Nina. There is no denying the chemistry between the two. Overall this a fun sports romance story that has great tension, as well as supporting characters!

story time

I normally don't do short story's but this one was good. I like the fact that the they didn't take too long to get together. I didn't like the way we didn't get to hear how she told him she was pregnant. over all the Strother was good

I really liked this book and would recommend it. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. I wish this book was a movie or TV show.

I really liked this couple and can't wait to hear Maya and Nicole stories. Her grandmother was a trip and need her story told. lol

Billionaire Catcher

I mostly liked the book. There were a few times that I got lost. I'm planning to give it another listen in a few weeks to confirm if it was me getting distracted. For now, let's say that these two ran hot and cold - frequently at odds where the other one was. Sometimes it was funny. Other times, they simply drive each other crazy.

I did love Gage's pet names for his favorite women - Little Bit and Babydoll. Even when he was a jerk, the made him seem a bit sweeter.

I liked the voices of both of the narrators, Sean Crisdon & Nicole Small, but Sean often seemed rushed. There were times that extra breaths or a slightly slower pace were needed to better send the message / set the tone for what was happening.

Short and Very Steamy Story!

I enjoyed listening to this book. It was a pretty good in-between-books read. The story was engaging, very steamy, and got a great mix of interesting characters.

Both narrators did well. I didn't have any issue listening to them.

The story was ok. It felt a bit rushed sometimes but what bothered me the most is the narration.

Gage is one cocky catcher. He has a reputation of a player on and off the field. Until he ran into Nina twice. He wanted to know more about her, she intrigued him. Her knowledge of basebal!, and how she rebuffed him. Their romance didnt start until he paid an astronomical amount for a date with her at a charity auction. Their connection is steamy, electric and passionate. His family's business interferes with the community center that Nina and her family are trying to keep afloat. Tempers flair, she walks out. can this be relationship be salvaged? I loved the banter between the characters. Gage has a soft side, when it came to the people he loved. This story is about the love and support of family and friendships
that surround them both.
Nicole Small and Sean Crisden narration is perfection. They bring this story to life, flawlessly transitioning from one character to the next. Oh and Sean Crisden deep sexy voice is perfect for the cocky Gage. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this story by Chiquita Dennie. I requested this audio through Story Origin and offered my honest review.

good listen but could have been great

I so wanted to give this 5 stars but it feel short for me. love that they were a interracial couple but the story seam rushed and lacking details. and some of the details didn't add up to me. 5'7 is not petite by any measure. being a retired softball player was said not to make much money but Nia lived in the same building as Gage. for me there was a lack of intimate description of of both Gage and Nia. also the time line was rushed and somewhat unbelievable. it was a great storyline but something was missing. without out spoiling the book it's worth a listen.
