Another Wilde of Lindow reaches maturity

I love the insightful and nuanced (and let’s not overlook elegant) prose and plot to which Eloisa James treats her faithful readers. It’s a pleasure to see her characters develop so plausibly. I re-read most of James’ series every few years and am never disappointed

Viola Astley the step daughter to one of the most influential Dukes is horrified that her upcoming debut with her step sister Joan will be marred with her shyness and her penchant to throw up when nervous. When she hears an arrogant Duke say ti his uncle that she is not a Wilde and says not to many favorable things about her, she actually confronts him.

Devin the Duke of Wynter promised his father on his death bed he will may a Dukes daughter. He is looking at Joan Wilde when his uncle suggests Viola Astley he snubs the suggestion until he actually meets the young lady and he will do anything to win her hand. A Beautifully written book and the Narrator Susan Duerden was excellent.

I already have read the other books of this series.
and I am truly love this story and the adventure of each character of this story. And I love the Audio/read because it help bring this story to life.

Good installment in series

Devin Lucas Augustus Elstan, Duke of Wynter has decided he’s ready and has chosen Joan to marry. Until he meets the supposedly shy Miss Viola Astley. Cute but not cutesy. Sweet but not gross. Sexy but not smutty.
Duerden does a decent job with narration.

Just like the too tight corsets, this novel takes your breath away. captivating time and storyline.

A delight

A great series with wonderful characters, the Wildes, and their family members provide hours of enjoyment. This story is sweet and heated, with two main characters who had flaws and fears of their own. It was perfectly enhanced by the talented narrator. I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was WELL worth the credit.

It was lovely at times and lagging at others

I have listened to other stories by this author and have really enjoyed them, but this story dragged by moments. I was not a fan of the narrator and I fee that someone else might have made this book a better experience. In all, I liked both characters and their love story.
