Sullivan….

Oh my! What a book.
I have not had the chance to read the first one, but now I want to! This was such a good book. And Sullivan is such a drawing character. I couldn’t help but love him. And Enya is such a relatable character, who holds on to her past mistakes and couldn’t see a way forward because of the feeling of not deserving what had been given to her.
Jody Hedlund did such a fine job with this book. And chapter 35…what a hook! I can’t wait for the next book!

Awesome book! I can’t wait for book three! I can be very picky in what books I read and this one kept me engaged and I throughly enjoyed it!

Wonderful story

Enjoyed development of characters and a great storyline. Author continues to deliver fine writing. Narration was great and captured the essence of the story and characters.

Dreamy and filled with yearning!

I adored this marriage of convenience love story by Jody Hedlund. It was swoony and filled with yearning. The first book in there series was fantastic, and this one was just as good.

Very slow, tiresome inner monologues

This was a hard book to get to the finished line with. So much so, that I ended up skipping multiple chapters without missing any real plot. I felt like this book could have been done in about 75 pages. The CONSTANT inner monologues of depressing doubts and thoughts grew very tiresome. The main female character was a total brat. I almost returned the title multiple times, but kept thinking that it would pick up speed or get more interesting. If there had been more dialogue and a bit of humor throughout, it would have helped. Otherwise, I was so ready for the book to just end.
