Surprisingly sweet

I’m not gonna lie, I thought when I started this book that I might end up, dropping it, not finishing it. The best friends without husband trope is not necessarily one I ever really like. But this one was done really well. I loved Maisie and I loved Hayes. I really liked that. They had such a strong bond together. I like that there is no huge drama, tearing them apart. I thought it was a cute story and the spice wasn’t too bad.

Ended up loving it despite the awkward trope.

I really wasn't sure going into this. I have a close circle of friends who have been in my life for decades, and I could never be with a man one of them loved. This story handled the subject with class and dignity, and by the end I was happy for them.

I liked this book. It was emotional but not too long. It keeps you interested from beginning to end and I definitely recommend.

Good story

I enjoyed this story. Short quick listen. Something different. Best friend’s widower & the best friend. The narrators did a great job. Definitely a sweet, emotional feel good story.
