Story
Underneath the patina of civilized society lies the Sadean demimonde: a bundle of lustful appetites fueled by momentary impulse and a desire for unfettered indulgence. And the target of this savagery: Justine de Bertole, a pious and virginal heroine. Grotesque, inhumane, and compelling, Sade’s novel overturns Rousseau’s views of the social contract, and the common trope that punishment only visits sinners, to deliver a passionate treatise on good and evil, virtue and sin.

Story
On the day my husband and I committed to each other, I didn't wear a white dress. We didn't exchange rings. There was no audience or minister to witness our union. Only the two of us. We swore to put each other first, to take on the evils our families had perpetuated together. Side by side. But that was before the past returned to haunt us. Now, everything has changed.

Story
On the day I was married, I promised to love, honor, and obey my husband, Stefan. Little did I know how literally I would mean obeying. Stefan tells me what to do, and I do it. There are questions asked, but I always submit in the end. It would hurt less if I hadn't started falling for him. It was supposed to be pretend. But the secrets we now share are too real, and they're crumbling every piece of who I thought I was. If only Stefan was the man I thought he was. If only I weren't so powerless. But there's one thing I have that he wants. My body.

Publisher's Summary
From the author of Carrie’s Story comes the continuing tale of a young woman’s uncompromising sexual adventure. Carrie leaves Jonathan, the S/M master who initiated her into a life of slave auctions, training regimes, and "human ponies" preening for dressage competitions. Whisked away to Greece by the demanding gentleman who has chosen her as his own, she learns new, more rigorous methods of sexual pleasure.

Pony Play/S/M + Intellectual Treat = Erotic Legend
This is the sequel to the legendary Carries’s Story.
The witty, sharp Carrie is our heroine. (This was BEFORE Sex and the City!)
Carrie is introduced to "Pony Play" by her lover in the first book, and is taken to Greece by her new master in Safe Word— where she finds even more pleasure in obedience and human dressage.
Weatherfield's the master of convincing, erotic S/M scenes. Her characters are flawed and endearing enough make you want to know what comes next, the classic book you can't stop until you get to the last drop.

Is it hot in here or is it me?
Wow....just wooowwwwww!!! I had to add new highs to the naughty scale...I love this one. Almost as much as I love the Marketplace series. Def not for the faint of heart....but for me...perfect. This one stays on the ipod.

Very Hot
As stated in my review of this book's prequel, "Carrie's Story" this BDSM erotic novel is well worth the price, well-written, with interesting characters and lots of sex.

not too impressed
I had a very hard time getting into the characters. Didn't really respect any of them. The story between the two rich people who knew each other from childhood was much easier to get into than the story between the main character and the guy. I'm glad she left his ass in the end. But even with that she became a boring character.

Good story
Enjoyed how the story was narrated from the present, telling of Carrie's and Jonathan experiences. I was pleased about carrie's choice in the end... the "amateur". My wife did not enjoy the first book, because of how the characters "chose to give over complete control" to others. I tend to agree, but enjoyed it nonetheless. Not as harsh or in depth as the "Market Place" series. Found the pony play erotic.. enjoyed the narrators.

Bounced around too much
What disappointed you about Safe Word?
I really thought this book would be about two people and stay that way. Instead it went into many different short story's.. I was not expecting that.
Any additional comments?
I don't recommend this book if your looking for "one" story.

Forget Fifty Shades..
What does Shana Savage and William Sharpe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
I really like Shana Savage's dry tone. It gives plausibility to the character and makes her even more interesting
Any additional comments?
This is a great audiobook if you are interested in this genre. It shows how weak the 'Fifty Shades' literature is. The characters are interesting and 3 dimensional, and the outcome of the story is a surprise. I think this is one of the best Erotic S/M novels available.

Eloquent Extreme Erotica
Just as the first book, this is not for the faint hearted or romantic types! This is hard core, I mean the protagonist is a sex slave after all, with no holes barred, quite literally.
I have to say I found the sequel less of a turn on to the first book, but still an eye opening read!
I enjoyed learning more about Carrie and the world she chose to be part of, and I liked the end very much!
