Great short read

Listened to this at work, great story. Likable characters and a cute story line. Maybe Todd will be the next.

picked up book on an amazon sale, didn't care for cover and set aside for a while. it lookes like a cheesy/corner romance knock off.....big mistake!...hahaha... Now that I listened I Loved it!! great story realistic in some ways and leaves you wanting more in a good way. I really felt the connection and just the right amount of love and sex to make it real! As always...great job Susan Mallery you did not dissapoint. As they say don't judge book by its cover!!

Loved the Narrator

Savannah Richards is one of my favorite narrators.

TWO thumbs up and download the other 2 Millionaire books by Susan Mallery. Three sisters, three millionaires lend to THREE sexy sweet books. LOVED all three. Definitely will listen more than once.

Any additional comments?

The main female characters in the series are ones you can identify with and it compels you to want to listen to the entire series in one sitting. I would definitely recommend these books, great beach read with the summer season starting (finally!)

Nothing deep here. Beach reading or rainy day. Handsome Rich men and gorgeous women...sparks, and flames...

What made the experience of listening to The Substitute Millionaire the most enjoyable?

This was a quick book - I was finished with it by the second day. The plot was a bit predictable - but the characters were likable and had great chemistry.

What other book might you compare The Substitute Millionaire to and why?

This book could be compared to any other paperback romance novel... but it's always nice to read a simple romance story with a happy ending.

Definitely felt like other Mallery books so still happy but maybe by the end of the series I will feel like I read one of her other books.

Colour Me Impressed

Where does The Substitute Millionaire rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I really enjoyed this book. The plot wasn't unrealistic and the characters were a lot of fun to read. Their words, their reactions, their fears and insecurities were extremely well portrayed. The dialogue was realistic. I'm new to audio books and now I am hooked.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Favourite character was Julie. A romantic heroine with spunk and a straight shooter. Nothing wrong with being strong. She wasn't perfect and struggled for a long while with her trust issues just like most of us. I loved her sense of humour and the love she felt for her family.

Which scene was your favorite?

At the end when Ryan intervened and stated that Julie didn't have to marry him, that all he wanted was for Julie to be happy and of course he said the most beautiful three letter phrase: I love you. It was all Julie needed to hear.

An OK experience...

Susan Mallery is one of my favorite authors and the also the narrator is one of my favorites as well. This story is definitely not the best work of either be of them but it's ok. The problem is that it is so short that the romance doesn't seem credible. But it's still worth buying if it's on sale and you have 4.5 hours to spare.

Lovable characters. Short and sweet story that changed two doubtful souls into believers in love.
