Romance @ it's best

I loved the. Love that grew and survived the drama. The ending was awesome on giving me the ending outcome of all the characters.

I loved reading this series, but this is my least favorite. male narration not good. makes me sad because the next 2 books are my favorite.No Russian accent at all

I’m trying to read all of Michelle Heard’s books but I loved this book. Loved the story that even an assassin could find love. Hailey was able to understand that he was her hero and not an assassin. Really loved Carson and Hailey book. You need to read this series first either by audio, digital or physical book Michelle Heard is a go to author. On to the next book!!!

Carson (has no accent?)

I actually liked this listen - started out a little slow.

At first, I had a hard time because Carson is a hard person to get warm to - Hailey a wanderer falls for him. Caron tries to ignore her but realizes that he can't control his obsession for her.

As the book go along - it gets better and you really like them a couple and it makes you smile at the end.

Yes, he is from Russia and has no accent though he lives Russia around 16. In other books this character does have an accent - oh well it's just something different, Sometimes it's nice since some voice actors don't do a great accents.

~ A REALLY ENJOYABLE & ADDICTIVE LISTEN ~

I was hooked with this listen as a backpacker/ray of sunshine falls in love with a handsome, charismatic, sexy recluse.. not knowing he’s one of the best Assassins for hire. As soon as Hailey smiles across the bar from him, Carson is obsessed.. but, for her own safety, he has to be content with keeping his distance as he doesn’t want to bring her into his very dangerous world. Until the kiss. Of course, the inevitable poop hits the fan, and when it does it spills secrets and brings danger, suspense, torture, devastation, broken rainbows and two shattered hearts. They say time is a great healer.. but will it be for them when you are the sun and he is the moon?

Worth a credit? Yes I love these sexy, possessive, vulnerable Assassins and how they lose their hearts is sweet. Michelle has written a very addictive, entertaining and climactic story for Hailey and Carson with chemistry from the start, sizzles and fireworks. And the sex is well-placed and not overdone. The narration by Gomez and Alyssa was great .. however, explain to me why Carson didn’t have a Russian accent because he didn’t leave Russia until he was sixteen - and then he went to Switzerland? And the name Carson isn’t Russian either? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ruthless Saints is my favorite in the entire series! counted down until this one came out on audible!! the narrations were decent. I wish there was a bit more emotion. sometimes it felt very monotoned but overall I loved it!! I will be listening to this book over and over!

The first half of the book was delish but went downhill after that…

This story is definitely better than book 2. And the first half was really good BUT then the story got choppy and longer for no justifiable reason…

What I loved: the development between Carson and Hailey albeit it was very quick but still showcased how a 21 year old may get smitten and act that way… I liked the way the acted towards each other and the insta attraction was somewhat real life believable…

Now, what I absolutely hated: when Carson took a job in Egypt. The way he described Africa and South America like they’re the problem.., I mean, cities like London, NYC etc. are also overcrowded and can be unbearably hot in summer and not all parts of Africa are as hot as people think… that was unnecessary and offensive for people who live there and folks who travel with open heart and enjoy actually exploring. This killed the second part of the story even more for me and couldn’t enjoy Carson’s character as much as I enjoyed him in the first part of the story.

It would have been nice to get to know Carson’s world a bit more but what we got was whiny, self serving, idiotic Hailey’s inner monologues… half the time they didn’t make sense and the other half were irritating… I wondered if there were ARCs or anyone to advice Heard about the direction of these characters… I guess some folks enjoy these inner monologues? They really just come off so bratty and spoiled and selfish and well I could go on and on…

Another thing about Hailey, she was so mean to MJ I literally was like dude! Can you stop with the fake WoW is me? Shit! And MJ was too nice and I guess her price to be the custodian was good, she should have asked for more dealing with the likes of Hailey… I mean I get trying to figure things out but taking crap in others even in novels is something that really annoys me… like you’re getting this “gorgeous” gazillionare can you be nice? Or at the very least kind?

So, I enjoyed the first half and after they got into the Kerfuffle with the Romanians it just went downhill… so sad because there was so so much promise there…

Aaaaaaaanyway, definitely better than book 2 but… I think this is my last one in the series… im curious about Carson’s brother and the type of woman who would take him down but im scared it might be another whiny and selfish character…
