Vainqueur Knightsbane is your average dragon: A giant, fire-breathing lizard who loves to take naps on his golden hoard, kidnap princesses for fun, and make the life of adventurers miserable. So when a would-be thief turned unwilling minion tells him about "classes", "levels", and "quests", Vainqueur wonders if maybe, just maybe, he should consider a career change. After all, why bother hunting monsters for free when you can get paid for it?

Best narration!
I could listen to Rhett all day, his voice is very deep and does a wonderful job with all characters! In the beginning, I was a little confused with the time line, and I felt the story took a little bit to really get started, but overall I enjoyed the book, very much and am looking forward to the next book!

So much better than I expected!
Honestly, I didn't expect much from the book. That just made the awesomeness of it hit so much harder. This book was right up my alley. Relatively useless and underdog main character finds a craft/magic and excels at it beyond anyone's wildest expectations. Seeing the character grow and advance in his skill is very entertaining. The narration is top notch, giving the characters life and helping the story move smoothly forward. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Dragons, magic, alchemy, and the comming of age
I received an copy of this book for evaluation from audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. The narrator, does an excellent job in telling the story and brings each of the players to life. The story line is well developed and interesting but it was a bit linear and I would place this as a youth fantastic. The author does an amazing job with attention to details is such a way as to have you feeling what the player is feeling. After I was done listening to the book I put it down for a few weeks and went back to listen to it again, like I do with most books. However, this is more of a once-through and done than a book worth the re-read.

I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. When I started listening to this book I was not impressed but as I got more into it the book I was surprised. The story got more and more interesting. I loved the end. The narrator did the voices well and I could tell the difference between the male and female voices as well as the voice of the dragon. Very well done.

Likeable story and characters
"I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review." Devin Hanson writes a very likeable story. I enjoyed the way he brings out the main character Andrew as he starts a quest that defines him as a person. The narrator, Rhett Samuel Price does an excellent job in telling the story and I like the way he uses his voice with each character. Very well done all around

Excellent Fantasy! Can't wait for the next one!
Rune Scale did not disappoint! i had read the reviews of those who had read the books prior to it being put on Audible and was excited to listen to it hoping it would be a book to share with my kids. Although there were a few minor cuss words it, it wasn't used a lot and so it was tolerable - I would place it in the middle school age range for appropriateness. This book has a unique and fun plot and I found myself having a hard time putting it down. Mr. Price does a wonderful job with the narration, he has a deep rich tone that aids to the character of the book. I'm hoping they get the others in the series out on Audible soon! Dragons, airships and magic.
In a world where dragons rule the sky's and humans have to hide underground, behind thick walls or camouflage we are treated to an interesting and well written story. The plot moves at a good pace keeping you listening to find out what happens next. The whole book being from one veiw point character helps keep the reader invested in their stroy and makes their struggles seem more relatable. The world seems well crafted and as if it has a lot more to it than we get to see. The characters are well written and have a lot of depth to them. The narration is top notch, is easy to listen to. In both slow moments and active combat the narration fits perfectly. Each character has their own unique voice that really helps their mood and personality shine though. There was no recording errors that I noticed. This was a great listen and I can highly recommend this book. I am looking forward to seeing what happens next in this interesting world. The book had so much potential but didn't live up to it. The book had only 1 main objective so not much happens for most of the book also I felt the narrator didn't suit the book.
