Dual novels
I enjoyed the book. There was new vocabulary to learn-you are never to old to learn. The story read as 2 separate stories to me: espionage and romance. They were both greatly detailed however I had a hard time blending them. I am looking forward to her next work. I also read and enjoyed’Stacey’s Extraordinary Words’ and ‘Lead From the Outside ‘ which I immensely enjoyed.

Interesting combination of intrigue and romance
Stacey did a good job of combining an intriguing spy mystery with a very tense romance. Parts of the tense romance were pretty confusing… I felt like the store had a back story that I should have read beforehand.

Too Cumbersome
Difficult to keep the many names with the many characters.
Hard to unravel the subplot from the primary plot. Wonderful word choice & fluent/varied sentence structure

slightly corny
the narration was well done. I thought the storyline was very corny. The interaction intention between the two main characters were overdone, and the lines were cheesy. I think in in today's age, the scene of consent non-consent sexual interaction is triggering for some, especially with the main character disclosing sexual assault and then the male counterpart having thoughts of forcing himself on her that was triggering. and I don't think it's appropriate in today's day and age.. not impressed.
