Publisher's summary

A hockey-playing prince, a most improper lady, and one accidental pregnancy....

When you’re an heir so spare that getting attacked by a shark is more likely than you ever wearing the crown, you’re only allowed certain liberties. Yet still, those liberties can bite you in the ass.

Good thing I’m such a charming devil.

Even then, I’ve been banished to America for a year under the pretense of playing professional hockey while my father cleans up my latest mess. But trouble follows me wherever I go. Generally trouble of the beautiful female variety, and Gracie Diamonte is no exception. Or possibly, she’s the best exception.

Until the dinosaur suit. The cookie incident. And the accidental pregnancy.

Of course I’ll do the right thing.

Just as soon as I solve that pesky problem of my royal betrothal.

I’m about to be the biggest scandal to rock my country, and there’s a good chance my father may throw me to the sharks after all. The funny thing is I’ve heard that raising children may not be so different from swimming with the sharks. So no matter how you look at things, I am Royally Pucked.

Royally Pucked is a hilariously wrong romance between a spare heir and the lady least likely to ever wear a princess crown, complete with dirty cookies, an emotional support monkey, and lots of pucking around. This romantic comedy stands alone with no cheating or cliffhangers and ends happily with a family of...more than two.

Outstanding!

I loved Manning and Gracie’s accidental pregnancy storyline because these two characters have a special kind of magic that can’t be denied. Unfortunately between Gracie’s Uber protective older sister and Manning’s arranged royal marriage the fates are definitely against them. I enjoyed Gracie’s determination to get Manning out of Ellen’s clutches, her friendship with Ares and the antics of a very mischievous monkey who stole the show. My favorite part was Manning’s protective streak, his royal politeness and the outstanding chemistry between him and Gracie. The scandalous baked goods Gracie bakes were a big hit too! I listened to the audiobook and Jacob Morgan’s outstanding talent with foreign accents combined with Virginia Rose’s emotion filled storytelling makes this one top notch production!

Sweetheart and a Prince

Gracie and Manning are a fairy tale come true (well, fictional true lol). Accidental pregnancy might surely have saved him

Enjoyed this book, laughed quite a bit. It was worth the purchase as I'm sure I'll listen to it again in the future.

The baker saves the prince!

Prince Manning of Stölland is so far down the laundry list of heirs to the throne that he's always been allowed "certain liberties". When such liberties go over the top, he's shipped off to America to play hockey while the Palace cleans up his latest mess. But trouble finds him wherever he goes and now he found it in the shape of a dinosaur costume wearing baker of "dirty cookies", Ms Gracie Diamonte. Sparks fly between them and the royal jewels produce an accidental royal baby. Manning is determined to be everything for Gracie and their baby, but there is one pesky little obstacle: he's betrothed to "Maleficent".

Gracie lives a quiet life as a baker in Goat's Tit (you read that right! lol) and she runs a successful online business selling "dirty cookies".  She's never finished high school, she swears a lot, but to Manning, she's a queen. Let's just see what the Palace thinks about that...

I needed a fun, light-hearted read after all the angst, murder and mayhem I've been reading and Pippa never disappoints. This book is cute, steamy and hilarious. I loved the cheeky Prince, Gracie is adorable (especially when she reverses roles and decides she's the one who'll save the "dude in distress") and I love the bond she has with her peculiar sister. What a fun book!

Narration: Virginia Rose lays down all the Alabama charm and Jacob Morgan has the sexiest Stöllander accent (let's applaud the fact that he came up with a very consistent accent for a country that doesn't exist!) Fun fun fun!

Rep and possible triggers: Gracie is severely dyslexic and truly believes she has no "book smarts"

Not everything about being a prince is charming

Stuck in a loveless engagement, hockey player and spare heir Prince Manning finds love in the least likely of places.
Gracie a dyslexic baker of racy cookies in a small southern town turns out to be just his cup of tea.
Do they make it to their happy ending? Only one way to find out. Worth the read.

Story & Performance, loved it!

Author and voice talent are on point. Laugh out loud funny as you would expect from Piper. Not to release any spoilers, you will love and respect the characters and the way they figure out how to handle the situation they find themselves in.

Accents aside I love this

This review is a mix, I first read this on KU, then bought and reread then got the audio. So it's in 3 stages. :)

Loved this, couldn't put it down but at least this time I wasn't sat on a train surrounded by business men whole trying to stifle my giggles.

I am going to sleep now, there was no stopping me before. I may add more tomorrow.

----

So here's my actual review ;)

This is part of a series, it's probably best to read in order but not necessary. They're funny, they're naughty they're great, they're also embarrassing to read in public (I read them all on trains) because you sniggering, guffaw, gasp, chuckle and go ping when things get saucy. Well worth it.

This one has royalty, sheep, accidental pregnancy, cookies, hockey players and a monkey.

I love these books. I got them on KU first but have ended up buying them all to keep because they're so funny.

Edited to add

I don't get the accent used on the audio, I understand why it was chosen but being a Brit my brain says "that's from there" I think it needed to be a little more RP for me. I've reread it a row times and it takes a while for me to get into because it's such a regional accent.

I do want a Honey Badger phone app, it'd be so useful.

Good story but…

As always the story is good, but what the hell is going on with his accent?
For any Brits, I think he went to the Peaky Blinders school of accents. It’s sort of Brummie with bits of Scouse and Geordie mixed in. I know they said in another book that the accents were sort of British, but this wasn’t what I expected.

Standalone in a series

I love all the characters in these books. A true romcom. Very low angst. There is a crazy betrothed with a monkey, a royal family, inappropriate cookies, hockey players, a kick a$$ sister, and lots of friends and family. The narration was great! I definitely recommend this book. 🎧Audiobook Obsession

Hockey & Cookies!

Whenever I need to relax, fall in love and just laugh, I know I can count on Pippa Grant. Every time I find myself falling into a story with good friends and a lot of laughs. Royally Pucked is especially good because of the amazingly strong heroine. Meet Gracie. A baker by trade, she hooks up with hockey player, Manning and later finds is pregnant. Manning is no ordinary hockey player, but Prince, with royal obligations and expectations. Determined to raise the baby alone, she finds herself in the midst of a wonderful love story. Now Grant doesn't just let it slowly unfold and let them easily get to their happy ending. We have pranks, and cookies, and the betrothed and family and hockey players all bringing us into the story full force. Laughing and falling in love is the best feeling, and she does it again for me with this one! The Copper Valley Thrusters are a team to follow!

Grant picks the best narrators for her stories. Jacob Morgan comes in with an accent that is swoony and heart melting. Virginia Rose shines as the feisty, Gracie. I enjoyed their comedic timing how their voices complimented each other. It was a great listen!

Great job bringing the ebook to life

I really liked the ebook when I read it a while ago but when I had the opportunity to listen to the ebook, I jumped at it because, well, Jacob Morgan. He affected this beautiful accent and I can just listen to him speaking for hours. Oh wait, I just did! ha No seriously, I am always impressed at how these narrators (Jacob Morgan and Virginia Rose) move so smoothly from voice to voice, male or female. The narration was excellent and truly elevated this adorable story.

This story itself is so fun. Manning is a prince but he's like 5th in line so he's allowed to play hockey for the Thrusters. What that means is we get to see some of the characters we love- Ares and Zeus, Murphy, etc. And i love revisiting our favorite cast of wacky characters. He meets and falls instantly for Gracie. They have one night together and oops, Gracie finds herself in the family way. But Manning has to deal with the responsibilities of royalty, including an arranged marriage. How do they overcome the obstacles to be together? It was a funny but also so sweet path to their HEA.
